R u serious Pelech makes Pulock look like Orr - nyisles7
Pulock's goal was his attempt at making peace between you and Capt. He did impact the power play right away, but he didn't use his 100mph slap shot to do it. |

On a side note. Just finished watching Dallas vs. Arizona. Dallas' defense makes ours look like Nashville's. |

I say it every time he hits a lull...JT is fine and will, as always, be the least of the Isles' concerns. |

great win and best of all we came out gunning. i was not happy we sat back on our heels the whole 3rd period.
Is it me or was John Tavares invisible the whole game. Though he redeemed himself channeling frans neilsen on the shoot out. that was a snipe.
Nice win and lets feed off it.
btw - Pulock was plenty good defensively. Lets trade DeHaan to Montreal now.

it seems more to me that Weight is slowly transitioning into Jack Capuano.
Some think that Travis Green is turning into Willie Desjardins. |

Dude you're so wound tight over this Pulock thing you take everything I say as some screaming accolade for him which is not the case. I simply said the goal was not his fault which it was not. It was Lee's fault. I mean it's (frank)ing nuts it's like you want the kid to fail to prove some absurd point. I was not one of the people whining about why he wasn't in I said he had a crap preseason. After 6 games it was getting kind of ridiculous you have to play him or you're destroying his development and his confidence. Common sense. You comparing Doug Weight's coaching decisions to being right is one of the funnier things I've seen on here. The coach who played 7 D and 11 F. How many different pairings did we see tonight? Givemea(frank)ingbreak. Great coaching. - Cptmjl
Every season with this team another prospect gets mishandled. This year, it’ll be Pulock. I don’t understand the rationale for not playing now him. He’s played in one f**king game this year. One (right?). How the hell is he supposed to develop and become anything if he gets one f**kkng game every six to play in and six minutes per game?
If this was their intention on how to use Pulock this year, they should have packaged him for Duchene. Pulock rotting in the press box over some of these other guys is absurd. |

A reader tweeted that on Tuesday -- around the same time my last column on the situation was posted -- TSN insider Darren Dreger said on the radio he thinks John Tavares will eventually re-sign with the Islanders. Was happy to hear that, but wanted to confirm the context of it with Dregs via text. "That is my opinion and belief," he wrote. Darren is very connected, so even if it's just his opinion and belief, we got that going for us, which is nice.
Wasn't Botta's whole spiel the other day that the "reality check" is no one outside of Islanders-world thinks Tavares will re-sign? |

Can't let kids rot in the press box either. If they are only going to play him 1 out of 6 games he should have started the season in Bridgeport. |

I think Barzal's play along with Nelson has a lot to do with Weight's system but all of the d are having problems with the transition game and timing so unless Pulock himself is complaining and needs more time to learn the speed, this may be one where you can trust the coaches. I have been critical that Weight and the staff are inexperienced and tend to over coach or micro coach vs let them play. NJD look good because they have a lot of vets who are playing well and Nico is fitting right in. Difficult to overcoach last night's game because of the crowd and excitement, but Saturday's home game against SJ hopefully will not be a mistake filled mess. Lee has been star of the top line because he plays loose or has a great athletic temperament while JT is very serious and presses. Hopefully a matter of time that he and Eberle loosen up and follow Lee's lead for a breakout game. |
