You're right, it was Filppula who was skating through cement, unable to keep up with the forward he began marking as the play developed in the offensive zone. You got me there, I just read numbers wrong.

My point still stands regardless of last name. Our relatively slow forward was exposed.

Filppula's skating is fine. It was also late in a shift. He bumped into Sissons on the way back and lost his balance and that was all it took for Sissons to get a step. Simmonds tried to make a play as did MacDonald. It didn't work out. It happens.

If Weal can't go Saturday, I'd think about moving either Raffl or Leier up and play Matt Read. Lehtera just did not look good, and that line just did not work.

Coaches say that all the time in practice and in video study. This kind of play is a part of our offensive attack and systems play, but not if your not a good player.
