Yeah Hainsey looks like he could have been a meth cook in another life. I take that as an indication that he's probably pretty good at hockey in the end. - TheMussel
You will learn to hate him.
Give it time. |

I'm not yet convinced this is a bad thing.
Hell, with 3 points he's actually our 2nd best scorer!

you're not seeing it because it's not terrible right now; relative to everything else. so it seems good. |

Not gloating or getting overly excited, just making a point....
This season whenever I read Leafs stories or watch commentator clips about the Leafs or hear other coaches talk about the Leafs or even read some non-Leaf fan's posts......wholly poop it's a parallel universe.
Aside from a few Leaf hating trolls, people finally see this team as a legit threat and contender.
It's really weird being a LONG TIME Leaf fan right now. Feels like I just got out of a toxic relationship and have met a new girl who is awesome....but then I still quietly wonder when the new chick is going to go nuts too.
Just an odd feeling. BUT I LIKE IT...A LOT! |

I can totally see me hating him if he slows down when entering the last 2 years of his contract.
But as of today, I'm fine with him and his contract on the team. |

Bruins lose Rask, McQuaid, and Spooner to injury while Bergeron and Backes remain out and we have no blog.

Nobody (frank)ing cares about the Bruins Rick.
They're not bad enough to be laughed at and they're not good enough to deserve praise.
They're the purgatory of NHL teams. |

With Matthews, Tavares and Kadri down the middle, it's over.
Imagine Tavares and Marner on L2. |

Oh man, I would really hate to lose Bozak.
I really feel like this guy's best years are still ahead of him.
He could still put up an 80 pt season, while competing for the Selke.
It would be heartbreaking to see him go, but for the right (high) price, I guess I could live with it.
(Think Rick bought it?)

Crazy thought here, but would you switch Tavares to wing?
With Doughty on the blueline for 30 minutes a night next year, Leafs centres won't have to play a 2-way game as much. |

Worth a try. He also might need to play on the 3rd and fourth lines since we won't be able to afford to pay other players to play there. |

Seems like he's thinking about it.
I hear the backes and bergeron injuries are worse than expected.
(Do you think Rick knows how to use google?)

You can say that about any/all line discussions .
We could keep JVR, and Matthews could go down for 6-8 weeks.
Moot point. - DamnBrasKiss
Its not at all a moot point.
You keep JVR and lose matthews, the team is in better shape then trading JVR and losing matthews to injury. |

Agreed. Need a 25-30 year old proven stop gap defenseman, with a little grit. Don't need another offensive defenseman. - DamnBrasKiss
Not getting one for JVR...with minimal months left on his contract. |

We'll be able to move mcdavid from 3c to 2c too. |
