Only watched 2 of their games. But they seem like the Wilson era Leafs. So many shots, so little care. I wish Corsi was a thing in 2009, we'd be getting some sick articles about how the Leafs were the best team in the game I'd imagine. - AdamFrench
James Tanner has started defending the Habs lately, saying how they're actually doing well. |

You mean when they add Green at the trade deadline and call up Liljegren
How beauty was that Matthews goal

And RIP Gord Downie - here is a cool story I came across too bad he didn't pass the audition.

......And - I didn't know until yesterday but Harry Sinden was his Godfather. - winsix
i think if an opportunity arises during the year, they make a trade for a player with some term. la, nash, minn, ana, sj could all be looking to make a move for scoring and have dmen to trade.
if the price is too high, than yeah, add a green at the deadline.
liljegren may be better off leading the marlies to the calder cup. but what the hell do i know.

he loves being the contrarian. they are playing badly.
the habs are better than their record, but they need to start collecting some points soon or the season will be done by the end of october. |

Every shift 5on 5, Pacioretty was waiting between the blue line and redline for a Pass, barely stays in his own end. Lazy player. |

He hasn't looked the same under Julien to be honest.
He used to be quite good in all situations...
And we're not even talking about how his production pretty much stopped after the coaching change.
Oh well. DAHLIN DAHLIN DAHLIN! |

Tampa has one advantage over the Leafs, their D core, yet they are letting in quite a few goals as well. |

I haven't watched any of Washington's games (other than the one against the Leafs, obviously) but I was wondering if that's what Ovi was doing.
Kinda "screw the team - I tried last year to be a team player, we got bounced, so now I'm just in it (again) for personal stats" thingy.

He goes to an area and waits there for the puck to come to him. I don’t see him going in and hitting much anymore. |

Tampa has never had what it takes, of all the teams the only 2 that worry me are Pittsburg and Columbus. |

usually as you get to the 10-game mark, teams tighten up and goals start coming down across the league.
but with slashing disappearing, it seems like it is opening up the game for skilled players. so i don't know about this year.
much of tb's dcore may continue to struggle with the speed of the game.
it's a game shifting year. |

Columbus has the best goalie in the league right now, they are also big and fast. They will be a handful all year. |

Tampas got Hedman though. As much as people love to cream themselves over Karlsson, Hedman is a (frank)ing stud. If Karlsson missing half his foot slows him down, Hedman is easily my pick for best defenseman in the league. |

It'll be a battle but the Leafs defintely hve more talent, unless the refs somehow decide to throw away the whistles in the playoffs I can't see Columbus over the Leafs.
But then again they threw away the whistles in the third period of game seven against the Bruins. |

So far this season the best 2 that I've seen are Doughty and Pietrangelo. And no one else is even close. |
