I think Dustin Brown found Richard's cocaine pile. Seems like he's faster than he has been since 2012. - AdamFrench
I watched most of that Habs game (time off to watch Blacklist) they start well and then they implode, terrible and dysfunctional team. |

I told my wife last year when the Leafs were in the playoffs that they were gonna win the cup this year or next year.
I stand by prediction. - bobbyisno1
i thought they'd be on track to be a cup contender next year.
they are one player away from being a serious contender this year imo. |

It's crazy to see how this roster was constructed and how quite little was given up (minus 8 years of being poop)
McKegg/Drafted/Drafted
Schenn/FA/Drafted
FA/Drafted/Drafted
FA/FA/Drafted
Drafted/FA
Beauchemin/FA
FA/Winnik

4v4 and 3v3 with Matthews + Nylander is basically a power-play. It's crazy.
I was also half watching that during the intermission but on mute. Was very confused what the little grey boxes with numbers were counting. - markmark
There was a play on Tuesday night where Nylander skated around and around and around, protecting the puck with his arse. He finally came around the net and got a shot through a screen (didn't score).
No goal, but I was shaking my head - it shouldn't be that easy to play keep-away in the NHL. |

Oh I agree. That goal was brutal.
But McBackup is the value menu, you know? Some nights you might find a hair on your burger but maybe you also get a few extra pickles. Other nights the extra pickles are pubes. - markmark

Mogilny was a shadow of himself by the time he washed up on the Toronto beaches. |

I've already said this, but they are the best team in the league right now, yes that one defender would put them over the top but it's not gonna be priority if the the price is too high. |

Are you starting to watch Canucks games, and find yourself cheering for them?
It's kinda inevitable, if you have non-stop coverage of them where you live.
I actually liked the Bruins for a while (they were strictly my mistress - I never actually loved them). |

I asked in the Habs thread last night but no response.
Who the (frank) was doing that game last night. One was insanely pro Habs and the other sounds like he smoked 40 a day - walshyleafsfan
John Bartlett and Craig Button.
Bartlett was losing his voice and Button wouldn't shutup about how amazing the Habs were. Kept saying that Plekanec is the best player on the ice.
So we've discovered that Button is worse at something than being TSN's "Director of Scouting", and that's colour commentating. |

may not have to be a defender.
i think upgrading bozak to actual 2-way center could be enough. might cut down our goals against by 0.5/game just doing that.
edit: though i do remember you called them as a playoff team last year. so i'm expecting you to be right again |

i love how you can send a pass towards matthews at waist height while he's at full speed and he'll still maintain possession lol. he might have the best hand-eye coordination of any leaf i've seen and it might not be close |

How beauty was that Matthews goal

Only watched 2 of their games. But they seem like the Wilson era Leafs. So many shots, so little care. I wish Corsi was a thing in 2009, we'd be getting some sick articles about how the Leafs were the best team in the game I'd imagine. |
