What dynasty was that? the one in 93? - bobbyisno1
We've been dominating the octocup in the last 5 years my friend.
It's very well documented. |

When the Habs end a dynasty, they end it HARD. - Scabeh
Habs always seem to find a way to pull themselves back up the standings. |

Octocup is a good thing to dominate, gets you that much closer to the playoffs. |

The only thing better than the Leafs strong start this season is the Habs' poor start...

I honestly don't think the Habs are this bad. - Aaron_85
They really are.
Their 1st line centre is Drouin FFS and they've been stashing the league's 4th line wingers for years now |

Drouin is actually one of the few bright spots on this team.
He's great. I have no issues with him whatsoever. |

The LA commentators were bragging up the habs last night...I didn't get it at all, then again the commentator sounded like Super Dave Osbourne - Garnie
I asked in the Habs thread last night but no response.
Who the (frank) was doing that game last night. One was insanely pro Habs and the other sounds like he smoked 40 a day |

Didn’t the leafs have interest in him too? |

Drouin is and never will be a 1st line centre. Like at all. Trust me. This is coming from a fan of a team who went 15 years between having 1st line centres |

I'm not claiming he's a top centreman in the league walshy.
But the guy is very, very good and is doing a fine job at centre on our first line.
Would he do better on the wing? Maybe? I don't know. But I have no complaints about his play.
And we've also lacked a true #1 centre since Vincent (frank)ing Damphousse and Pierre Turgeon so yeah.... I'm matching your expertise there. |

You know what Aaron, you're probably right.
But a few years back, Habs ended almost in last place and then finished 2nd in the conference the year after with an almost identical roster.
When things start going badly and alot of small things never go your way.... it can make the difference between a successful and a horrible season.
I'm just hoping a losing season would be the wakeup call this team needs to A: Fire Bergevin and B: Start moving towards actual durable success. - Scabeh
Yeah you and the Lightning had a few years of up and downs. Worked out pretty well for them so far!
Maybe you can pick up a quality prospect and as you said fire Bergevin. The guy isn't doing you any favours. |

That would be the best scenario.
The Habs have a young core of forwards.... it's not all grim... except on defense where they are old, slow and unreliable.
Aside from the Mete-Weber pairing, the rest have struggled constantly.
Drafting a guy like Dahlin would go a long way in helping this team. |

I see your Koivi and raise you a Bozak and most likely a Joey Crabb or Daryll Boyce |
