Yeaaahhh...that goal reminded me of poop that happened to Bernier...I like McBackup but Freddy doesn't give up poop like that. - Zezel
He's capable of playing a good game from time to time. Bottom of the line is he is 33 and has a .905 career sv%
He played his best hockey last year and I don't expect him to do it again. |

Honestly I don't think he will be here that long, and if he is, will find himself in the press box a lot. Rosen struggling I think opened the door for him to get back in the lineup really for now but has to be an Uncle Lou move coming at some point to strengthen the defence. - Roadrunner75
Carrick will be a part of the package for Doughty. |

That was a terrible goal for Mcbackup. Zetterberg was pretty quick, but still... He left pretty much the entire net open there. Even if the defense should've done better, Mac looked terrible. |

Marner looks a shell of himself
What's going on there?
Head's just not in the game at the moment - walshyleafsfan
Basically the dressing room has been divided in half - lots of guys think Marner should have won the Calder.
Management backed Matthews, so Marner has demanded a trade.
Obviously Cohen is in Marner's camp - he's purposely playing poorly. |

Pass, get someone who isn't so tied to his emotions. When it works great but when not unnnngh. Not a huge Doughty fan at all. |

True. He's a half decent backup that is capable of playing well...on occasion. We shouldn't expect too much. Hopefully we can generate a fair amount of offense when he's in net and play some actual defense.

Reminds me of Reimer
Totally out of position so he has to make an amazing save. And then everyone praises him lol. |

Yeah, pretty much. If Freddy gets hurt the Leafs are up poop's creek with a turd for a paddle. They really need a good goalie controversy. They need to have another goalie who's so good people are arguing over who's the number one, he or Freddy. That would be a good problem to have. Right now Andersen's the most critical guy on the team. The Leafs could lose Matthews and still make the playoffs, can't say the same with Freddy. |
