Can’t name a single song, never heard of Gord’s name before, but you don’t understand, I was their biggest fan.

Jillian Fisher made me wish that Julie was still a blogger.

My favourite Jillian blog was when she filmed herself watching a playoff game from the stands. So it was a video montage of her eating popcorn - and you could hear a game going on in the background.

It was the most boring v-blog I had ever seen, yet there was something so mesmerizing about watching someone so narcissistic she thought we would love to watch her watching a hockey game.

In the same vein, whenever someone says that their thoughts and prayers are with (insert family or group or whatever), I always wonder if they actually pray for them?

And if so, why?

Your God has allowed something awful to happen, so what's the prayer for? And why would God do something awful to these people, but then listen to some random person who has never met the families of the victims, and God would then decide to go easy on the victims' families?

Yup - I had never heard of the Hip before I stepped foot on Canadian soil aged 20. I enjoy their music, but the meaning, the context is missing for me, because I'm not Canadian and I never grew up with them. But I have those who I know and love who are Canadian, and to whom the Hip mean so much more - and that's good enough for me.

I honestly don't know which is more insufferable.
