I was missing him the moment he left.

Such a god damn travesty to let the 2nd best point producer in franchise history walk away because you wouldn't cough away a little more money while having over 8M in cap space (now it's over 10! Yay!)

Mon10ya playing tonight?

Seriously, anyone who saw him play last season should have known it was bound to fail.

Habs Pro scouting is obviously terrible.

At least they made a nice move getting Radulov.

PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE KEPT HIM AROUND BERGEFAIL!

- Scabeh

They let Radulov walk, then trade their top D prospect for Drouin in an attempt to add scoring...all they really did was replace one scoring forward, for a younger one at a huge cost. Smart.

He was much better the first time around.

When we decided to let him walk away as a UFA.

For some unknown reason.

- Scabeh

It's never a good idea to bring a guy back.

As much as I loved Wendel, trading him away was a fantastic deal for the Leafs.

Bringing him back was stupid we gave up waaaaaaaaaaay too much.

And bringing him back for a third tour of duty was horrible. There were games when I couldn't even look at him - he was a shell of his former self.

Regardless of Radulov staying/leaving.

The Drouin trade was excellent. Kid is the only bright spot on offense for this team.

Wings defense is complete crap. Wings will probably get lit up tonight. Prediction is Leafs win 4-1. Let the rebuild happen... Oh wait... Holland is an idiot and we're hamstrung with horrible contracts. Rebuild will start in about 5 years.

The point I was making is that they didn’t add any offence, just replaced one forward for another. They could’ve just re-signed Radulov, kept Sergachev, and there wouldn’t be much difference.

Good thing Mete is looking great.

Agreed. He's been very good.

But I disagree about your first paragraph.

Drouin is 9 years younger than Radulov. At worst we secured an equivalent producer for a much longer time. At best, we get a player who's potential has yet to be reached and could easily surpass radulov.

As I said, Radulov should have been kept, but even if they did, I would have made the Drouin trade anyway.

Alzner is OK so far if you ask me.

He's having trouble covering for all of Petry's mistakes to be honest.

Honestly, I'm not sure Lidstrom would be good enough to cover for some of these mistakes.

I don't recall, but since it's about speed on skates and not on foot, I'm not too worried.

It's just no fun when Habs and Canucks posters come in here and praise the Leafs and belittle their own teams.

I feel like I'm out of a job.

Nice cover.

It was a race to the boards, didn't lead to a goal or anything, but I was surprised Martin won. My second thought was "glad we didn't sign Alzner, he's slow".

I agree with you about Drouin. If you're Montreal without Radulov, you have to make that deal all day long. I really like him for you guys. He will be the key to your offense for a long time...now you have to add to him.

it'll work out fine for the habs over the life of the deal.

at 29 he should just be starting to lose some speed.

Yes. It's one of the reasons I choose/hope for the Detroit broadcast when I watch their games on Centre Ice.

They're so amazingly biased. It's fun to listen to. Every time Detroit gets a penalty Mickey Redmond goes "Oh Boy! I don't know about that one".

It's fantastic. Same reason I hope for Jack Edwards for Boston and Tripp Tracy for Carolina.

- GreatGigInTheSky

I agree it is fun but I can't stand the ones from some teams that don't seem to understand some simple rules or feel the need to explain very simple rules.

Edwards I just can't listen to. The guy is such a (frank)ing moron it's unbelievable. He could watch a Bruins player slit someones throat at center ice and he'd get excited and call that player a modern day gladiator or some poop.
