Watching a bit of the Leafs/Redwings game.

I know we've resented the coverage of that team in the past, when they were horrible, but seems it might be warranted this year.

Weak division. Shooting at over 14%. Best most year is 10%. They are pretty lights out most nights though.

So far, 5 games in, i'd say i'm giving JB a on 5/6 moves in the offseason.

edit: Just realized that JB brought in a goalie, 2 D, 2 wingers and a C in the offseason.

the moves do seem to be working out. adding depth at least with Wiercioch. Del Zotto has been good. Vanek is scoring. Maybe Gagner is the biggest disappointment of the bunch but TG is still figuring out what he has.

Anderson is pretty decent, certainly good enough on a team that can give him that goal support.
I agree with you in the Future tho, Zaitzev was a nice pick up.

Poulliot was quietly good too.

I think MDZ has played great so far, and Pouliot has been decent too.
Vanek has impressed and Gagner has been invisible.
Burmy looks like good value when given a top 6 role and will be invaluable if he can be the straw that stirs Brock's drink.
What more could you want from a cheap back up goalie?

For me to "deflect" (I assume that is what you meant) something, wouldn't something have to be "tossed" my way? Both literally and figuratively i can't deflect something when interjecting as a third party.

I wouldn't care if a team won a lottery, drafted well, made good trades or just bought the best players through free agency.
I just want a good team that plays an exciting style.

Anyone who's played hockey at the Major Junior level or NCAA and above has great stories. Those were some of the best times for me.
