Muller looks like a lost pup out there. Soft baby boy. Gets hit in the helmet with a slap shot, holds his head looking around like he wants to cry. Wondering where his mama is. This softness will not be tolerated on the Devils!

Santini and Butcher would have to play about 40 minutes a game in order for the team to keep up this great start. None of the other 4 D men are playing well. The Devils will have to make some decisions.....are they or are they not contenders. The youth movement has surely made the offense more potent and they are able to "steal" a few games....but in order to maintain they will need to get some help on D. I am not sure that Severson had a "bad" game as much as the Bolts exposed the fact that he just isn't as good as everyone thinks he is. Greene is becoming a liability and, well Moore is Moore and Müller may be legit but he is surely a work in progress.
If they decide that they are contenders for the playoffs, it may be time to deviate a bit on the game plan and look for some experienced help.

Fast start and flashy play aside this team isn't legit yet. They cerrtainly look dangerous and a hard out which is a nice change of pace. Hope it lasts. LGD!

i know this is off topic but does any one else think that andrew gross would rather be covering ANYTHING else besides the devils? his reporting and commentary almost seems like he despises the team. i know he used to be the rangers beat writer, but still...

I'm still playing my first season of franchise mode on NHL 17. Plan is to move Carolina to Hartford, and of course win the cup there. Definitely going to lose in the finals with Carolina though. Probably won't accomplish this until NHL 19 comes out.

I played the Beta for the new COD and loved it. It only allowed you to play like 4 maps, but I thought it was their best game in a while.

Typical. As usual Palmieri gets overlooked.

He may be, at this time, the most underrated player in the NHL. Not saying he is a superstar, but he is VERY important to this team and never even gets a mention.

I haven't enjoyed cod since mw3. NHL I buy every year because I'm a sucker for roster updates. Though the defense has gotten better.

Red dead 2 is going to be sick.

Also I just got fractured but whole, it's a lot of fun.

Palmieri makes smarter plays than Hall .. but he kind of does. Idk the analytics, but Palmieri to my eyes creates and follows through with scoring chances. Hall dangles and dances and swings some low percentage shot at the net.

I need to stop ripping Hall.

When we all come to grips with the fact that Severson is not and will never be a top pairing D man then we can appreciate that he's a mid pairing Dman at best that has some offensive upside. Still valuable of course, but Butcher looks better in many ways already.

I think Palmieri is seen as so solid and such a fan favorite in part because he is underrated and fans don't expect from him what they expect out of a guy like Hall. Palms is great, solid, consistent, and from the area

Thing is, with 31 teams in the league, you gotta be able to name 62 better dmen before you say a guy isn’t a top pair defender.

I used to get the new NHL every year but '14 was my last because after that was when they shifted to the new generation of consoles. NHL was the only game I ever played so it didn't make sense to me to buy an Xbox One or PS4 solely for that. Also figured having the one with Marty on the cover being the last one I ever bought made sense.
