Why is this guy brought up as if it were some failure for the Sabres. It's not like the team didn't see the talent and didn't ask him to come on board. Jesus Christ, the way people talk on this board about him it's as though we traded him away for nothing when we never had his rights.
- Der Kaiser

Nah - wasn't bringing it up as a failure of Buffalo. He chose NJ over Buf due to opportunity and apparently he made the right choice. I brought it up cuz Cogo said he'd amount to nothing about 600 times.

Why can't Garf use a calculator? He has Kane at 132 point average with 1.67 a game

If that's what you're going to nit pick about Garf you need something better to do!

How about his lack of sentence structure?

Thank God Butcher is barely going to be an decent AHL defenseman, eh? We're all wrong once in a while, but, my God......
- turbo044

I don't think even the devils thought that butcher was going to be this effective so early, most of his points are on the PP and he has looked good but that means teams will start focusing in on him a little more so let's see if he keeps it up, hopefully he does

It was a free asset and he is running with it, not like the sabres lost him as a prospect, so it's not like a vasey situation

Heck the way some look at it it was a butcher for kerfoot trade and they played against each other for the devil's opener

I find it interesting that PHam asked of they stole a point or failed to get 2...
"Mixed reaction"
And there you have it.
Until this team to a man says we squantered a poiny away by coming out flat for the 4th hame in a row...."
It ain't going to change.
The excuses are over for a team that has collectively done exactly nothing sonce they entered the league in 1970...that is 47 years of futility.
Whole this regime isnt responsible for all of it...the team is...so they are guilty by association until that loser mentality is gone.
The only time they took the bull by the horns was under Teddy Nolan, and 1-1/2 seasons out of 17 under Lindy.

Housley would do well to get Michael Peca on this staff, period.

Move Sam for blue line help

I would look at moving Okposo if he gets back to playing normal

We all know Kane is going to miss some time with an injury but you cannot argue with his play (except maybe his penalties) but all of them have been either the new slashing crackdown or him playing hard.

- Stripes77

I think what everyone really wants to know is what his December to December goals are going to be. THAT'S how we judge his value.

You do know they’re rotating them right?

That makes it much worse

- GERBE!!!75PTS

Duh, you can only have a captain and 2 alternate captains, or 3 alternate captains on the ice in any one game.

It's not unprecedented to have a team with more than 3 guys with letters.

Right but does that mean they are going to rotate them or what?

Kane had an A with Okposo being out but Okposo had one yesterday and Kane did not

- Stripes77

Housley said they're going to rotate them. For once Gerbe isn't wrong. That and Minis are great fun to drive, though they aren't fast. Quick, yes. Fast, not a chance in hell. It just feels fast because you're in a small car.

But Watkins is a must start. Well at least until week 10 or so if he can't get it together.

And I thought 7-9, 8-8 was optimistic...

http://draftwire.usatoday...ly-3-round-projections/3/

They have us drafting Allen at 24(ours, not only making the playoffs, but actually winning a game) and Ridley, WR from Alabama at 32(Chiefs).

Allen has NOT looked good so far
I love Rosen & Rudolph
Still don’t see us making the playoffs,
so I’m hoping Rudolph will fall to us
Or even Falk at the end of the 1st

It was mainly that they have us winning a playoff game. Or I suppose winning the division and getting a bye week. Which is even worse.

Been watching some of these QBs because I know we'll be targeting one this year. Agree about Rudolph. Also about Allen...I think he ends up in the mid 2nd round, despite the 1st round projection.

Rosen and Darnold will both be gone top5, so probably nothing to see there. It's Rudolph, Falk (I'm not sold) and perhaps that Mayfield guy from Oklahoma as the only plausible picks. We won't be low enough for the two top guys, but there is talent passed them. I'm hoping we luck out.

Their draft order is just the current league standings, so it isn't exactly a prediction.
