And he is good in close. We said once he gets one we could see him get them in bunches.

And I think he has had a big effect on Giroux and Voracek. Giroux looks like he has more freedom on the wing and isn't so bogged down in the defensive zone.

Right now i am loving everything about this team. They compete. The have skill and speed. They are fun to watch and root for

Lots of posts complaining about Hakstol's lineup decisions but none praising him for the move of Giroux to the wing, switching Filppula and Patrick, putting the 4th line together.

Loving the season so far, but my favorite thing thus far has been the silence from Couts haters and the morons that preached strip G of the C or trade him.

lol - it's because a large percentage of the population that posts here is just a bunch of negative Nancies who aren't happy unless the Flyers are losing.

frank 'em

It's either that or wanting to show how they know more than the coach does.

It is kind of mind blowing how much Canada loves that band and that guy. I never fell in love with their music, but definitely respect them. (frank) cancer

Trivia question:

Brandon Manning and Michael Raffl were both undrafted. Can you name the current Flyer who was drafted latest. Bonus points if you guess the round

I may have been in the strip the C camp.

Funny bit last night...

During the game when Claude scored I put ROOOOOOOOOUX! on my facebook page. Well a chef friend in Boca Raton, Florida made a comical post:

Alex, what is a mixture of fat and flour used to thicken sauces?

My reply was Sorry the kitties from Florida are getting pummeled tonight.

I'll take $4.1M for 2 years to be on a crap team for 2 years. The only really bad part would be living in the desolate tundra that is Winnipeg.

I think the move of Giroux to the wing has energized him and that whole line. Hakstol appears to have gotten that one right. As far as the lineup decisions, those will come sooner then later. Coaches don't always make the right decisions, that's why its not a long term job. As soon as the puck drops, as long as their wearing Orange and Black, it doesn't matter to me who's playing, I'll still cheer the same. I hope Hakstol gets better as a coach, and I'm sure he will as he gains more experience.

I agree. It's really weird and freaky. I do dig them, though, but not like Canada does.

I never understood the hissy fit that was being thrown about having G try wing.

There is a specific podcast that i listen to and all they did for a month was cry like whiners because of this move and how it weakens the greatest strength of this team, the center depth.

After last year, I didnt get why people wouldn't at least give it a go.

So far so good. I know it is early but the move looks like it may have been a good one.

It is, but even just watching Giroux skate and play in these first 6 games you can tell he's healthier and that his skating is improved from last season. Of course injuries can still happen in this young season.

So Hak should be praised after the team got "dominated" last night?

Shouldn't have gone for the bonus points, I got greedy.

I think I now know the answer (as long as we're talking skaters), but I don't want to double guess.

Ah. In that case, it's Kimmo Timonen.

And do the Flyers still technically hold the right to Erik Gustafsson?

My comment wasn't meant to throw shade at anyone on here to clarify; mainly the annoying Facebook posters constantly on Flyers pages but props for the chef for playing along lol. Hopefully he didn't make any Chinese food restaurant jokes with pummeling kitties 😂
