It's just a matter of time before Weal's hard work pays off for more points.
He works hard every shift and is always on the puck in the offensive zone

Dude just refuses to lose battles. Gotta love it.

Observations:

- this team is relentless on the puck.

- Every line right now seems to be creating chances. This team can roll 4 lines without any problems

- 4th line is more then just energy. Their speed and skill are creating chances.

- Love Leier and Laughton on PK.

- Couturier can't score. Trade the bum.

- Again top line looks like they are a right mix. Seems having Couturier there allows Giroux and Voracek to have a little more offensive freedom

- Hagg is better then i thought. Just all around solid.

- 2nd PP moves the puck around and will start to score more goals. The puck movement is insane.

- J35Bacher

Have to absolutely love how simple of a game Couturier is playing and how effective it is. He continues to play a strong game position wise and defensively. On offense, he just simply heads to the net. He knows the puck will get there.

I'm starting to have a guarded optimism about this year. I was initially just looking forward to seeing the young guys play, but I really like what I'm seeing so far and think they could do more than just squeak into the playoffs. Definitely fun to watch these games.
- EducatedOpinion

I have no thought about that. Just looking forward to each game with this group to see if they can sustain this and watch the kids grow

Couturier is so smart. So good at disrupting the other teams breakouts

Obviously the +- stat isnt the best, but the fact that over his last 26 games Couts is a +27 with 24 points...

Best #3 center in the league hands and feet down.

I'm really liking the way Couturier continues to show his total lack of offensive upside.

He is probably only skating at about 75-80%

Look at how different G and Ghost look this season compared to last. Patrick has a set of wheels on him. Not quite TK, but he is a deceptively good skater.

I know it's there which makes me really believe as I said that there are no line 1, 2 or 3 on this team. It's more like 1a, 1b and 1c and then 2 and then on defense it's 1a, 1b and 3... Have fun NHL, your worst nightmare is about to begin.

I actually wonder if with simmer out if lehtera has to be inserted we don't move weal to the nolan tk line and have a limited minutes line of Weise filp lehtera for a few games. Hurts some our depth but might be the best for the overall team.

And he is good in close. We said once he gets one we could see him get them in bunches.

And I think he has had a big effect on Giroux and Voracek. Giroux looks like he has more freedom on the wing and isn't so bogged down in the defensive zone.

Right now i am loving everything about this team. They compete. The have skill and speed. They are fun to watch and root for

If Simmonds was actually removed from the game for precautionary reasons (I'm assuming that rigor mortis has already set in), he'll probably be good to go.

Rangers win in regulation last night would have been better for us.

That 2nd unit is just a complete 180 from last year. Coots looks so much more effective, he is key to that unit. Patrick looks good up high, it would be nice to see him behind the net even more and the puck movement is fantastic.

Trivia question:

Brandon Manning and Michael Raffl were both undrafted. Can you name the current Flyer who was drafted latest. Bonus points if you guess the round

lol - it's because a large percentage of the population that posts here is just a bunch of negative Nancies who aren't happy unless the Flyers are losing.

I do think we need at least a 5 game losing streak to see if PLind is still alive
