But giving up serious assets that we already kinda lack just to get another option that MAY improve our PP is a serious waste when the goal should be filling out the team with more skilled depth.

If they're looking for a different look on the PP, swap Klef out for Benning, Larsson or Sekera when he returns. Or maybe give Slept a shot in Letestu's spot. Maybe you put Caggiula or Khaira as the net front presence instead of Lucic. Don't go out giving up major assets to fix a problem that can often be rectified simply by a shift in strategy.

Problem is Eberle could have been used in a package to acquire a significantly useful defensive asset (like Hamonic) which would have helped this team in leaps and bounds when it came to SKILLED depth defensively. I wouldn't even care if Chia threw in this year's 1st like a frisbee to get Hamonic. He is the type of defender we need.

I was under the impression that strome was a quality open Ice skater. Haven’t seen that at all

And Jokinen? Wow. Certainly can’t skate, but I dunno if he’s useful in any capacity

Harmonic wouldn't have made much of a difference in my opinion and I sincerely doubt that some combination of Eberle+ for Harmonic wasn't discussed. The plus likely would've been a 1st (maybe more considering how much Calgary had to pay) so I can't imagine myself being okay with that trade, either.
