Like i said, it was a fair deal for him. Hamonic wasnt that great last year before. They got fair value for a dman that is injury prone...giving up a 1st rounder in a deep draft. Never know. Could work out could look silly in 2 years - DDM-Coga

Yeah I mean you could play the what if game all you want....but he's a second pairing guy signed long term for 3.8 million bucks. Try to find one of those in the first round I dare ya

Am I the only one who thought the Black Panther trailer looked like poop? Especially with Thor Ragnarok finally giving me what I want from that franchise. Absolute Kiwi insanity. - AdamFrench
I havent even watched the Black Panther trailer yet. I wasnt very interested in the character. Im all in on Thor. Avs are going to break my heart having a losing record soon. Ill be onto movies soon enouhg

I didnt say he was bad or usless. Just that the Bargain comment I dont agree with. Hamonic is good but the deal also comes with risk as well.
Flames are win now. They have given up multiple 1st and 2nd round picks for guys like Dougie, Lazar, Elliott, Hamonic. 3rd rounders for Stone, and Smith.
I like it, they are saying (frank) it, we are going to win in the next year or 2 and will die trying

This draft looks like 2008 and being defense heavy. Lots of 5'11 offensive defenders who are totally not 5'7...TOTALLY NOT. DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. - AdamFrench
One thing Woo has going for him is he's built really thick, luckily.

Hurrayyyyyyyyyyyy!
Watch Edmonton draft a forward though.

It's true....not sure it was a "barain" but certainly for a team like Edmonton, the question needs to be asked, "why didn't we do that".
The thing about the Flames is that their prospect depth allows them to make moves like that. They are stacked with prospects on the back end and in net. Their forward prospects are a little weak but their main core is young so it shouldn't be much of an issue.

Flames have some time to restock. They're going to have to soon because I think they've kind of flubbed this first attempt of building around this core.

Well if you look at their D prospects they have guys already knocking at the door. Kulak, Anderson, Kylington, Fox, Valimaki. If the time comes that the Flames do want to "retool" they could easily ship out guys like Giordano, Hamonic for great returns and bring these guys into the lineup.
The forwards, wouldn't be so easy. But it's far too premature to say the core of Bennett, Tkachuck, Gaudreau, and Monahan can't be successful.

That's kind of what I mean. The core is fine, but I don't think the supporting cast is in great shape by any stretch.
