5-1 LAK.....quick goal by MTL in the 1st then LA takes over
- Symba007

Nice work on this one Symba!

I watched the implosion in the 3rd. The team gets mentally crushed when a goal is scored against them!

Don't devalue our future prospect.

Nah, Habs will lose the lottery and end up taking the Russian kid....which will turn out to be a bust.

don't bother. familiarize yourself with the 10-15 range. once they're 20 points out of a spot, Price and Pacioretty are really gonna show you something
- DoubleDown

Being told by some experts in our specialty sports radio station that he's not producing because instead of giving him the puck, Jonathan Drouin is scoring himself.

I feel bad for Pacioretty because it seems to always be someone else's fault when he goes into a 35 game slump.

I'm pretty sure he'll score 2 late next game to make it 6-2 Ducks and we'll be all good

easy there, Pacs will be on fire once the Habs are out of playoffs range, he will start producing and get his 30g/season at that point, it's just too early to produce at the moment.

I don't think he likes listening to music so we're good.
- stinger67

While that's true.

I think most people consider this is the GM's fault in the first place.

the "new" system is obviously not working...they were not that bad under the other system

It wasn't exactly the same team though.

The defense was considerably different.

But I get it, at some point Julien could be held accountable too.

If Price was playing like the Carey Price we became accustomed to, Pacs would have at least 4 goals so far..

He needs a close 1 goal lead game to get his empty netters, but Price is not keeping those leads..

Price's fault!

At some point, maybe, just (frank)ING MAYBE, they could try putting Galchenyuk in the top 6 and MAYBE split Drouin/Pacioretty?

Despite them holding hands all summer, can't say I've been impressed by their "chemistry".

I agree with you that the issue is most definately not Drouin..

I didn't think much of the trade because I didn't know much about him other than his off ice whinning, refuse to report, incident..

But my gosh, he is amazing. Reminds me of Kovalev at times on the PP

from what i have seen so far this year (important to remember here that i know very little about hockey), i have 2 observations.

first, this team doesn't seem to have been built with any cohesion or blueprint behind it. for the most part, you have a big, lumbering defence and small, quick forwards who don't seem to complement each other.

secondly, since his arrival Julien seems to have this team playing more of a possession styled game like he did with Boston. it worked well in Boston's heydey because they were big and strong all over the ice and that allowed them to play that plodding game with success. Montreal's forwards are small and more importantly, incredibly soft. they are built for a more counterattacking style. which is hard to do when your defence can't move the puck.

i'll shut up now.

yeah im not getting the whole Galchenyuk thing. it's making me side with Tanner and that doesn't feel good.

Chucky got 2 (questionable) penalties in the first couple of shifts..

The line looked good. Drouin was always trying to create.
Chucky seemed happy to be there and was skating hard the first 2 periods. Made some good plays and created scoring chances.

Paccioretty was next to invisible. Only time we saw him was on 1 PP. He was behind the play, turning pucks over. Actually the most I heard from him was during intermission when someone said he led the team in Corsi for...

Yeah Danault and Pacio worked last year, try Drouin with other players.

Also are they going to keep Petry-Alzner together until they are - 100000?
