While I'm not disagreeing, surprisingly, the CF% at 5v5 for those 3 are 45ish, 45ish and 50.

Just something that makes you go hmmm. Clearly, they've had quite a nice game tonight generating good chances. Putting the eye test with the numbers, it seems like they've generated a handful of high danger chances but then are a touch on their heels. Certainly not complaining.

Pretty interesting numbers tonight.

They've gotten better as the game has gone on. Patrick's line has really come on since the 2nd period and the Hagg/Ghost pair has played very well too.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not out here saying the Flyers are playing poorly, just saying it's "one of those games" in my eyes where, if I was a Panthers fan, I'd be looking back saying how the hell is this 4-0 right now with how we're playing.

Loving the Flyers speed. That Weal and Konecny man- seems like every game they make you say sweet.

Looks like us last year. Where we slightly won the overall play but lost because we failed to generate high danger chances.

Don't think the panthers have manhandled the flyers either. Lupngp made a few good saves before the floodgates opened. Also, shot totals are pretty close. Flyers have cashed in on their chances.

There's just no way the flyers are geting dominated in this game. It's hyperbole. Theres another legit penalty drawn by the flyers. Panthers are lucky the flyers didn't cash in on the first period. Also the flyers have had good defensive sticks when they've been "hemmed in"

Flyers have been hemmed in at times but they've done a nice job at not allowing second shots or too many really dangerous passes.

1st 10ish minutes were the worst, compounded by all those turnovers. Getting out of that 1st period with a scoreless tie was huge.

They've also been very strong on faceoffs

Owen Tippet definitely didnt learn to stickhandle and shoot watching his old man.

Statistically the Flyers are attempting a lot more behind the net and east west passes. They made a conscious effort to generate more scoring chances and let their talent work. Credit to the coaches. Knob has done a lot of interesting PP stuff too. It's funny that we can't rip the coaches.....but if we say they made good changes.....no, they didn't make changes to the system.

Offensive creativity in the offensive zone is not systems play. All you have to do is watch them play to know that their basic systems play has not changed. No doubt that Knoblauch who was hired to coach the forwards and offensive play has added some wrinkles, that's obvious especially on the PP. A large part of the offense that they've generated has come from the top line with the offensive creativity of Giroux and Voracek while Couturier simply heads to the net. That's basic hockey. The bottom line is that your assertion last season that Hakstol offensive game plan centered around taking low percentage point shots was absurd. The Flyers playing the same system are now generating more offensively playing in the same system.

Oilers down 2-0 too.. hope they're still sucking on Saturday.
