He had a good rookie year. I'm sure Cappy didn't help his development. It's too early to write him off completely, but I'm glad he's another team's problem.

And just as I say this, Strome get a goal.

They have a great young blue line DM.

He is one of the targets that Sakic had in mind or has in mind for Duchene but The Canes don't want to trade him and I can't blame them.

I think Duchene will get traded when Sakic gets fired. But yeah, Slavin shut down Connor tonight. I am worried about their other 2 D pairs though. Edmonton does not look the same without a healthy Sekera.

Isles have a new concept showcasing guys from the pressbox.

Habs had interest in de Haan until they saw Pulock in the pressbox.

Worth noting that Ryan Strome has more PP goals than the NY Isles

You've said it longer than I have, but I don't see him re-signing here. I actually think Snow is such a megalomaniac & egotistical that he won't trade him at the deadline because he just "knows" he'll get JT to re-sign. JT won't & he'll either walk for nothing or Snow will trade him at the draft & get little in return (why little? Because nobody is going to pay a kings ransom for a player that they could sign in a couple weeks without losing anything). Just my 2 cents and the way I see it shaking out. Unfortunately.

*EDIT - Actually, you said trade the (frank)er.

Wait. Holy crap that's sad.
Can someone bring that to Crappy's Weight's attention, please?

Isles dont need more questionable dmen, could see Gally & pick/picks

We don't need more draft picks, either.

I'd love to see more deals between struggling teams. Teams should be trying to change the mix more and not just hoping things will get better.
- ses111

Oh. you mean like the Isles have been hoping for for the past 11 years?

Just throwing it out there and while I do think firing Snow is a good move, he himself doesn't draft the players. His scouts are responsible for that.

Has it been only 11 years? It just surprises me. I'm not even talking about blockbuster deals or just Isles deals. Just more smaller or medium deals between teams that are struggling and have struggling players just to change the mix and try to get a spark.

Special teams-heavy #Isles practice today. First unit appears to be Lee-Tavares-Eberle-Leddy-Pulock.

They gotta be careful here. Don't want anyone to cramp up from standing still for too long

Next tweet says Boychuk rotating in with Pulock, so I guess no guarantees that Pulock gets in tomorrow night. Second unit was Ladd, Nelson, Barzal, Bailey, Pelech.

GODDAMMIT!!!!! Enough with Bailey on the fucking point. He turns the puck over more than he makes plays. When the hell do these guys realize that no matter how much you practice the same system, it isn't working. TRY MOVING & MOVING THE PUCK! Work on gaining zone entry with possession. They'd better score a fucking PP goal tomorrow

CDH will be out of position, trip & the puck will bounce off his helmet & go in during practice. Thereby relegating Pulock to the pressbox once again. Book it.

Bailey is gold as long as Garth is GM.

de Haan should be able to help gain zone entry. The first pre-season game I saw de Haan play, he looked like he could skate and pass very well. What happened to him?

Sure seems like it. de Haan looked to have real offensive skills and we've seen not of it.

He did look good earlier. Not sure what happened. Maybe too much pressure for him in an advanced role. Maybe a lack of confidence. Who knows. Hope he turns it around quickly though.
