Jesus, the lines are long at my polling station. I gave up, I don't want to stand outside for 1+ hours. Am starting to think the purple wiener is going down. |

You're right. I guess we get 4 more years of arrogance and incompetence. And higher and higher taxes. |

I'll be curious to see how similar the it will be to when the NDP won the provincial election. Though 40.57% of those who cast a ballot, voted for the NDP, and with 54.2% of the electorate participating, that means about 22% of eligible voters voted for the NDP, but I haven't met one person who'd admit they voted that way.
In the same way, in the last 3-4 weeks, I haven't heard one person say to me, they supported the Incumbent Mayor, but heard plenty of people say they wouldn't. Nenshi received roughly 200,000 votes of a potential 666,663 electorate base, of which about 370,000 cast a ballot.
I guess that's the silent majority.
I'm sure it will be a lot easier to encounter a Nenshi voter than a NDP voter, but one thing is for sure, an arena deal that the Flames want, is much less likely now, especially with most of the other Councillors also returning for another 4 years. |

People never learn. Protest vote with out thinking about what your actually doing. Next thing you know we're (frank)ed for 4 years. (frank) people are dumb. Trudeau, Notley and Nenshi....how does this happen here?

It's cause the native Albertans are being weeded out. People from BC, Ontario, The Maritimes, not to mention people from other parts of the world. The traditional Alberta business acumen is disappearing. |

P.S. It's not going to change. If we are thinking the conservatives are going to win the next provincial election we are sadly mistaken. |

What's really interesting is that the Preston Manning Foundation got behind Bill Smith in a big way and they still couldn't win. If people think the UCP is going to win easily next provincial election, they're sorely mistaken. Personally, I don't think the Reform party conservatism is very popular anymore. |

We don't need to be that far right. But where is anyone with a conservative fiscal business brain that isn't a complete social wack job?
Problem is anyone on the right business wise is automatically branded as religious homophobic nut job. |
