This time of year is frustrating because a lot of times in the morning you need a sweater and then by the time you leave work you're dying in said sweater.

46 degrees here this morning but I'm still wearing a golf shirt...

This is probably why I get sick all the time.

Could be. I don't get sick that often, but when I do, it's BRUTAL. I don't get the general common cold. If I get that, minimally I end up with a severe sinus infection. Haven't actually been sick at all since Nov 2011. I'm due...

I've avoided the games and any Sabres coverage since they were 0-2-1, because i figured the reaction was gonna be pretty bad. Sounds like most are firmly in the Johnson as #1 camp? I think i'll check this game out, just for the novelty of the new team. If Johnson is the starter, that'll say a lot about the direction they're taking. Also, not surprised by Griffith and Moulson sucking. I am very surprised at how bad O'Reilly is

Can anyone give me an update on the lines?

Is Reinhart still with Larsson?

O'Reilly looked much better on Sunday. He was with Reinhart and Girgensons. They basically looked like this if I'm remembering correctly.

Kane Eichel Pominville
Girgensons O'Reilly Reinhart
Pouliot Larsson Bailey
Moulson Josefson Nolan

Johnson looked more composed. He was in position and tracking the puck well. Looked like a true #1, but we all know sustained play like that isn't common from Johnson.

Was thinking about it, I did my laundry and hung my three up, but my wife laid out a button up long sleeve for me today.

My wife is one of those traditionalist, won't wear white pants or shoes after Labor Day, so she doesn't lay short sleeves out for me when it drops below 50 degrees.

What in the actual EFF. If you have a wife you're supposed to be a grown ass man.

Danke

I should have watched that one, but it's tough to commit to a 9 o'clock game on a work night for an 0fer team. I suffered through that western trip last year and all through the tank and it was rarely worth it.

Jack must have been pretty amazing to get first star without a point in an away arena

Maybe she likes to do it. My grandmother used to do that stuff for my grandpa. I don't see what the big deal is.

I absolutely agree. Didn't get married until I was 30 so I did all that stuff prior to her. However, my wife is VERY traditional and views ALL responsibility in the house as hers.

And, she treats me like a 6' overweight Ken doll she gets to dress. I tend pick my battles, plus, my life is WAY easier with her doing that.

I'm feeling the same way about tonight as it starts at 10. Do I REALLY want to stay awake until 12 or 12:30? Is it worth the investment?

I know what you're saying and given the private nature of the internet I feel comfortable saying this as you'll never know her. You aptly described her as "freak".

She views that as her responsibility as well.

Ever notice how I stayed REALLY positive through the tank years, all the losses, and even saw the positive of Tim Murray? Now you know why.

I'll probably watch the 1st and then put it on in my bedroom when I go to bed with the sleep timer set on the TV. I try to be in bed by 11, but may not fall asleep until around 12. In any event, I doubt I make it through the whole thing unless it's a really good game.

I'll probably start it as well. I usually watch on my IMac, half the screen there and the other half this board for the commentary. Very entertaining.

Yeah, same. Gotta be up at 6, so I'll probably fall asleep on the couch watching it. They would have to be winning and scoring a lot to keep me in it past the 2nd

pouliot was a terrible pick up.. i get he was kind of low risk at that salary, but that dude has no finish and losses the puck all the time

I'm willing to give him a bit more time to figure things out on a new team. But I think at the end of the day, we could see him end up in Rochester by the end of the year. Kinda depends on how the kids do and if they earn a spot on the big club (Bailey looked good on Sunday).

bailey was on a mission at the beginning of the game on sunday.. died off a little as the game went on but never looked bad. I think with better linemates he could have had a stand out game

It's possible. Larsson isn't exactly a great skater so that probably held Bailey back a bit. But I love that he capitalized on his first chance early in the game. Nice to see a guy take advantage of that.
