As much as some might think it's the opposite, a coaches top priority is to win hockey games first, develop players second, in that order. At times some decisions a coach makes may be contradictory to that but overall that is what a coach is tasked with.

Morning skate will be more telling but Sanheim is taking extra skating while Manning came off with the starters.

I am excited seeing both Hagg and Laughton do well so far this (early)season. High picks that hopefully were developed by the Flyers farm system the right way. Laughton looks like a completely different player this year.

Leier looks like a solid role player and both Konecny and Weal have looked good too.
