Outplayed Toronto all night. Just got some really flukey goals against. It happens some nights.
They dont have assets to get offensive help they need though. - Iggysbff
This, they outplayed Toronto and scored more goals than in any other game this year. After this they start stepping up on trading? I don't believe it. |

Doesn't even make sense. How can the Habs afford Stamkos' contract and Hedmans? - weirdoh
Good point. If Yzerman retains 50% we could probably get Byron aswell. |

It's pretty obvious that this Habs roster is not built well. If they are depending on Price to get them in, they're in serious trouble. And yes their cupboards look somewhat barren. |

At one point does a team recognize they don't have the assets to get better? When fixing one problem creates another it might be time to do a full plan evaluation...As a long suffering Habs fan I feel that time has come... |

Bergervin has been following the Isles around. Was at the STL game last Monday. Was in LA last night. I can't imagine it is strictly regarding Tavares. All signs point to the Isles not making a move until at least the deadline AND word is once the new arena is approved (highly likely) in early 2018 Tavares will resign with the Isles.
With players like Ho-Sang, Beauvillier and Barzal, young talented (and cheap) forwards, you would think there could be some talk of the Isles getting into the Galchenyuk sweepstakes since nothing has happened on the Duchene front. |

I believe the Habs are looking at Nelson and Leddy. With Barzal emerging Nelson becomes expandable. As for Leddy, Galchenyuk needs to go the other way. A Galchenyuk-Tavares-Eberle line could be exciting to say the least. |

so you think isles will just trade their best Dman (leddy) and a forward like Nelson that has more goals than anyone on habs for just galchenyuk? Hate to tell you, Isles have 4th liners can can put up more points than most Habs. if Price doesnt carry them, Habs wont even be near the playoffs.
Given Barzal and Ho Sang, isles seem to have less of need for Galy or Duchene.
What we need is a pp coach.
Also only upgrade i think isles could use is a franchise dman. |
