My point exactly. Henry is God to you guys and nobody can speak ill of him. Elephant in the room. But thats ok. Keep sending "backup" tendy's to other teams like robin hood. Good luck with the fountain of age.

I'll make no illusions on what the Rangers face in terms of issues. The coaching, in regards to game plan and player personnel choices, the lack of center depth, no elite scoring threat and the defensive zone coverage. The fact you want a goalie to change all of that means you're child, don't understand what you're watching or both.

Ha. Just wrote almost the same thing.

Thank you. I've been on this blog before, without trolling. Then or now. The Devils exposed the Rangers defensive zone coverage last night. They exposed the Rangers lack of a back up goalie and that the coaching stinks. Last night the Rangers iced a line of Rick Nash-David Deshairnais-Jesper Fast.

I don't think Lundquist is the problem but I don't think he'll be the solution either if
they turn the ship around and try to compete for the cup soon. Think Marty Brodeur with his last run in 2012. He wasn't the cornerstone that year that he may have been
in past cup years. Long story short, imo, Lundquist's best years are behind him. And that's not a slight on him. It just happens.

I know that. I'm not in the mind set he's goni to be able to post a sub 2 GAA, have a .930 save percentage and make 70 starts. He's 35. It's not happening. But even now, "With his poor start" He has .914 save percentage which means he still making save while facing a ton of shots, most of them high quality.

Yeah but he’s still more than capable of putting in enough of a performance for them to be very successful. I don’t pretend to know all about what’s going on with the Rangers. But a team tuning out a coach has a pretty identifiable look (we’ve certainly seen it enough ourselves). And whether any of us agrees with the coaching carousel that takes place in the NHL, unless the rangers start winning soon that’s almost definitely the next step they take.

Henrik Lundqvist playoff GAA and save percentage are better than his regular season GAA and save percentage. The problem with the Rangers this year, is they can't score, the coaching is terrible and they have no center depth. They are screwed this year. No matter who the goalie is

Yes your right but I've watched almost all his playoff games (like I said my wife is a Ranger fan) and it seems to me when the Rangers need a big save at an important time of the game he seems to let one in. Listen, Hank is a great goalie, one of the best in the league for many years now but it seems to me that he gets outplayed by the other teams goalies in the playoffs...example 2012 Devils with a 40yr old Marty ....that year and the following year (against the Kings) they (the Rangers) should of won the cup but both Marty and Quick outplayed him even though Hank played very well himself.

just going to +1 the comments on Santini. Him and Mueller were terrifying together. He's looked great since that pair ceased to exist, thank goodness. Really liking what we're seeing from Santini in his 2nd year. It's about time. I feel like we've been waiting forever for this kid. better late than never. Butcher-Santini could be a legit top pair in a few years.

Looks like Q had a hat trick Blackwoods numbers look bad but it looks like he played the full to games ? says he has played like 161 mins. Hopefully the team was more of the issue in that game as I don't see why you leave a guy in that long lol. Also nice to see Bastian has two pts through to with Binghampton.

Its nice to see him finally for sure but it hasn't really been that long. Butcher and Santini are both from the 2013 draft class and Santini arrived a full year earlier then Butcher so the Avs waited even longer.... To find out he wasn't signing lol

Hope we can get Mueller straightened out. He looked solid in preseason but (frank) preseason.

Yikes. Strong reaction. I'm not trying to get in a keyboard war. I agree Henry isn't the sole reason you guys are losing, but his play has been questionable for 3 years. The best move i've seen your gm make was for zibinijad, who is young, and great on the PP. I said you guys lacked major depth down the middle, which you ignored and focused only on the Henry comments. Also, Shattinkirk was merely a move I was questioning based on the teams needs. I feel it doesn't address any of your teams more urgent needs, and was overpaid for a player who will likely start to decline. He looked terrible for washington. In the future, ill be sure to steer clear of any damnification of the great king henry on the Devils blogs. Never know who will be offended.
