Deshairnais gets moved up for no reason, Buch rotating as 13th forward, Shattenkirk demoted to the 3rd pair. I'm not even kidding now. Av has no idea what he's doing . Just fire him now and get rid of Arniel and Ruff at the end of the year. This is such a stupid way to coach and draw up lines.

- tomburton99

I'm not even watching until he's gone, I'm done, he's clueless, Buch rotating as 13th forward and Fast on the 3rd line doesn't surprise me but that's what teams do when they start the season 1-8

Not that I agree with the rest of the changes but where are you all reading Buch is rotating in as a 13th forward? Because the tweet was written out this way "40-28/25-89" I read that as Grabner and Buch set at wings with Carey and Cracknell rotating.

Lol!! That's great. Worst part is that it can't be too old of a pic. That tower you can see in the distance behind him is a Drop Zone type ride at Marineland and it hasn't been there all that long.

Buch on the 4th line makes just as little sense, AV has lost it, he's left to throwing poop at a window and hoping it sticks, his ideas are poop

they need to be done with Carey and Cracknell at the very least. I know DD is not the most popular guy around here and him playing with Nash is (frank)ing stupid but I can at least see his value as a 4c.. the other guys gotta go, let our young kids get some looks
- mrn22

That is on the coaching staff. They felt Carey impressed well enough in training camp & during the preseason games to be up here at the start. If letting him go, they proved THEY were the ones wrong, for another strike against them. I'm sure Lindy Ruff had a lot to do with them picking up Cracknell when he was placed on waivers by Ruff's former coached team in Dallas, when they started searching the waiver wires this early & more seriously in early desperation.
But how can you automatically say that RW, Adam Cracknell has in effect, been a failure here, and also must "be done with" by them, when he has only played in TWO games, receiving only 8:20 of total ice time? In them, at least he has 2 SOG, & has an (EVEN) +/- rating. In comparison, with normal average ice time taken for all 6 games, Zucc has only 8 total SOG in averaging 20:03 per game and is tied for worst on the team with Shatty with a (-6) rating. Miller (at an EVEN rating) has only 7 SOG in averaging 17:08 per game of ice time. That, along with both of them having only scored 1 goal each. THERE LIES THE OFFENSIVE WOES IN PART WITH THIS TEAM, in addition to the coaching staff, especially with Miller rotated in position at forward.
Or, is it that the coaching staff is greatly at fault for these offensive woes to a large extent? One question must give soon, with Gorton having to decide. Anyway, I guess it's time for a numbers update to be made here shortly.

I did on twitter. I don’t get what he is doing. Maybe certain players are banged up, as Steve Ziipay mentions. But AV looks to be grasping at straws.
- airjan23

A.V. is still lost as to a solution right now, even if some of the players are banged up, with him appearing to be grasping by straws even more so today. If A.V. knew that he were in danger of losing his job, he would make this injury news be known to the press, hockey world, & general public. It's likely he will start choosing which players to dress, as well as which lines and defensive pairings to use them on, by picking their names out of the hat used for the Ranger that deserved to wear it after a win.

This escalated quickly.
- smellmyfinger

It escalated at once late last night, and upset Jan for him to first respond in being upset with them shortly after midnight, when I also felt the need to support Jan right then, for that first set of unkind words from the same member.

How about a disastrous 6 games net (1-5-0) numbers update here among the leaders in some categories.
(1) Best +/- Rating: (+1) - (Carey & Staal)
(2) Worst (+/-): (-6) - (Zucc, Shatty), (-4) - (Kreider, Zib)
(3) Most Goals: (5 - Zibby), (2 - Shatty)
(4) Most Points: (5 - Shatty, Zibby, Zucc), (4 - Miller)
(5) All 5 Rangers PP Goals: (Zibby - 4, Shatty - 1)
(6) SOG-(25-Nash) (23-Zib) (17-Kreider) (16-Shatty, Skjei) (14-Vesey) (McD-12)
(7) Scoring %: (L@@K: Staal - 33.3% - with 1 Goal on 3 SOG), (Zib - 21.7%)
(8) MOST PENALTY MINUTES: (10 - McDonagh)
(9) Goalies:
Hank: (5 GP), (1-3-0), (2.82 GAA), (254:54 TOI), (128 Saves), (.914 Save %)
Pavelec: (2 GP), (0-2-0), (3.76 GAA), (95:51 TOI), (37 Saves ), (.860 Save %)

Those first 7 stats, excluding the 5th in PPG, depict the team's overall poor and lost looking, & careless playing led by A.V. in chief. That 8th stat alone shows that McDonagh cannot have his pairing partner be switched from game to game, nor during every game. They paid Shatty only to be paired with McDonagh on the 1st unit, and to also have McDonagh concentrate more on defense, with Shatty leading play up the ice the majority of the time. That constant separating of them has resulted in part for Shatty being a (-6), despite being tied for the team lead with 5 points in the first 6 games. In addition, the team is 26th ranked in the league in all of, 5 on 5 shooting % at 4.3%, 5 on 5 goals scored with 6, (3 in that 8-5 loss at Toronto), and combined shooting % overall at 6.5% (with the league's current AVERAGE at 9.4%).
The goalie numbers also are in part attributed to the team's overall poor play. However, as with the Shatty signing, in knowing there was some lesser negative coming along as well as with their desperately needed, higher offensive benefits he would provide from the back line, they also knew they were signing a big question mark of the prior season at backup goal in Pavelec. No goalie at any level can help his team by playing to only an .860 Save %, no matter how poorly the team may play as a whole. More big saves are needed at times as well by both goalies here.

I'm willing to give Miller some leeway here, he's been bounced back between being a Center to winger, AV may have completely (frank)ed up his season
