To be fair, everyone thought he was a top 3 talent in that draft. I'll admit I was posses that they got him, but the fact that the only Finnish GM in the league passed on him for a lower ranked player did have me wondering about Puljujarvi.

Wilde is a great prospect would love that outcome for Canuck draft

He doesn't use his noggin for sure. We liked Patterson but we wanted also a top RHD that can move the puck on the PP . We knew we would get one so we were not worried. The PMD was gone at 4 so we got Patterson

Plus Edmonton is kind of like Vancouver when it comes to player development

So much talent drafted by them that failed to develop properly over the years. McJesus really saved that team.

For example:
RNH regressed after they had him bulk up, before he was skinny but his speed allowed him to create offense and now he's lost his speed and still isn't that strong. He's improved defensively but regressed offensively.

Last draft was deeper but thinner.
More 2 rounds talent, from picks 8 through to pick 90 they were all standard 2nd round talent, the problem was the top ten would be mid first round picks in a normal draft year.
THIS coming draft has top three talent from pick 1 through to pick 40, then it drops off to 4th round depth of talent until the fifth round.
So says my scout source anyways.

Lind was taken 33 and people have Levin I've seen at 73 and 64. I don't think Levin is too far off Lind's talent. So far Lind is looking like he should have been a late first round talent.

I thought the talent dropped off real quick at the end of the 2nd round last season.

There are players I haven't even looked at yet and I like guys all the way to the end of the 3rd round.

I think this draft probably has one more better round then last years.

yes but disruptive in a team environment, I bet his teammates don't like him and it shows.

I'd just draft BPA still, obviously prefer a dman but I would not pass up on a better lefty for a righty.

OJ is far from a lock to be a top pairing dman so I don't like the idea of being limited to only drafting a RHD.
