Honestly JT deserves better than this poop-show organization...... - Ur Not Me
So do the fans. While JT is not making more than some other players, I'm not going to cry for him. If JT is that miserable, he could ask for a trade or leave on 7/1/18. |

They couldn't trade him. They have no choice but to hope for the best. JT has had all the power in this negotiation from the start. You know this. - JimmyP
So you trade him and maximize the return. Don't wait until the trade deadline and cut that return in half and limit the teams that can even make the trade it's (frank)ing stupid. Sure they could have traded him and they veey well may put the final nail in this coffin because they didnt. |

Frankly I cannot fathom how. Only plausible explanation is early onset dementia. If thats the case we should nominate him for GM. |

A team can't trade it's franchise player without losing a lot of face. I'm not sure L&M would give Snow the go ahead even if he asked for it. The team is in a lose/lose situation. If they trade JT they suck. If JT walks they suck. The only thing they can do is try to get him to sign.
The fact that JT is still here means he has said that he is willing to sign based upon some conditions that are unknown to us. Ownership obviously feels they can meet those conditions. Otherwise they would have already traded him. We'll have to wait and see what happens. |

Strome for a lock of Lee's hair.

We were thinking of trading Lee straight up for Jagr. |

Not necessarily, JT would command a solid return. Solid enough perhaps to mitigate his loss which would be better than losing him for nothing. |

Well yeah we will have to wait and see what happens but that doesn't change what I said or the fact that it's true
I don't know what's worse letting your franchise player walk for nothing or a crappy return or maximizing your return. If there were any doubt and there obviously is you trade him. Agree to disagree. |

I had no idea Ovi had 9 goals. My god. I really wish JT would have a coming out party and just completely light the league on fire. I know it's only 4 games in but I'm worried about this team. They have so much work to do to patch up all the problems they're having. Hopefully tonight we see the power play work itself out and go 2/4 or something. |
