Probably because he's getting to do what he did best. Just go out and play. Use his instincts instead of having to think about where to be and when to be there.

He struggled in that type of super structured system. He's going to thrive in this one.

If you were to tell me after game 4 that:

Kane would have 4 goals and 6 points
Pomminville would have 4 goals and 5 points
Eichel would have 5 points

that they would still be searching for their first win I would say you're high

Bro 4 games .. I love Jason but he's no young chicken he won't be able to do that all season

I have confidence Jbots will make the necessary moves, albeit won't happen immediately. lack of speed is extremely evident in today's style of game and in what Housley wants to play. If they can find partners, I think ROR and Sam could be moved but maybe not till TDL or summer. As optimistic as I was heading into the season (i know, i know) a bit more patience and i'm confident we'll be good. Just too much baggage from GMTM

While I appreciate they want Rochester to have a winning culture, how hard and how long to they press on with that? If the Sabres continue to suck, one one hand at least you could have at least 1 winning culture instead of two awful ones.

I think that's kind of the plan to be honest. They want the young guys to win together and to bring that up through the NHL ranks as they make the jump.

That seemed to work with Vanek, Roy and Pomminville at the beginning.

They played and won together in Rochester before going to the big club.
