I thought that Brouwer was at least a useful part last night.
He stood up for Gio (who can look out for himself) after the retaliatory cheap shot that D. Brown gave out. The result?
Dustin Brown off the ice for 5 minutes and Brouwer off for 5 minutes. Giordano plays during that stretch. Win-win-win.

- MABster

they got matching minors. Gio should've been called for the initial crosscheck in the corner.

The one where Gio tapped him, and Brown went down like he was shot?

Or maybe like the one where Tkachuk pulled Quick's helmut off gently & was proceeded to be mugged by 4 King players & only Tkachuk gets the penalty late in the 3rd period of a tied game.

Oh, you mean the one where Quick took out Tkachuk's legs before that and then Tkachuk took off his helmet in response?

Tkachuk is an angel and Quick is a goon. LA Fans really need to know the difference.

I'm more wondering how you have more chances than shots

Yup, one of those "moments you live for"

Still should have been offsetting minors in my humble opinion.

Yeah was scratching my head on that one too, is getting a scoring opportunity without getting a shot still counted as a scoring opportunity.

Ahh C'mon! Quick grabbed his leg so Tkachuk was losing his balance and grabbed whatever he could so he didn't fall.... just happened to be Quick's head

poop happens eh????

I don't want us to all turn into the blind/delusional Kesler, Bieksa, Perry, Marchand, Burrows fans. Tkachuk is a rat and he deserves everything he gets!

I totally admire Perry and Marchand as well. I hate them, but if they were on my team I would love them.

Kesler on the other hand is just a douche. Could care less about Bieksa and Burrows.

Oh you mean the one where he was FIRST jumped by 4 Kings players, Quick slewfoots him and then Tkachuk grabs on to something for support...just happened to be Quick and magically his helmet just slides right off?

How Tkachuk got the only penalty there is incredible. Quick or any of the 4 players mugging him should have gotten roughing penalties.

Kesler, Bieksa, Marchand, and Burrows are all douche bags who chirp and dish out cheap shots and sucker punches in scrums, but turtle or skate away when challenged. They've all seen success in drawing penalties from the retaliation of others, but only fight when forced into it by being rag dolled around and there's no other options.
Perry is a sneaky rat and also no stranger to sucker punches, but he'll drop the gloves and take his medicine, or come in and fight to defend a teammate.
Tkachuk is a pest, like Tikanen, and pisses guys off even more with his Ville Niemenen smile. But he doesn't pull the fire alarm and run for the exit, he pours the gasoline, lights the match and then runs into the fire to face the heat. He's no angel, and he'll have to deal with what he's got coming to him, but he'll be our favourite little devil that does it, and does it with a s#1+ eating grin on his face the whole time.

Haha it's all the same poop man, the are all banana eaters on the ice in one way or another....Bieksa has been in tons of fights, with some tough dudes too. Hell, Perry and Kesler both have 30+ fights in their careers. Burrows is a female dog I will admit that. And Marchand crosses the line too much.

If I have a breakaway and miss the net it counts as a scoring chance but not a shot

If I get a pass in the slot and a defender dives in front of it then it's considered a score chance but no shot

There are many ways to get souring chances without recording a shot

Having said that the numbers still don't add up lol
