I think they kept him in case Sanheim was overwhelmed, Ghost wasn't able to go, or another player got injured.

I think so too.

We went from a plethora of Schenns to a dearth of Schenns
- DaveofYork

Would have been easier to just disband the team, or at least forfeit the season.

You have to face that fact that I refuse to fact this fact. Without at least one Schenn, preferably 5-6 of them, I don't see how we can ever have success of any kind.

What if we parlayed some trades to corner the Strome market...would that satiate you?

We also went from 2 Braydens/Braydons to Zero Brayden/Braydons.

Our Braydens/60 is down to zero.

Which begs the question...when they go onto a Western Canada trip later on, do they recall Morin and sit him for the same reasons?

Well, as the old Chinese proverb says, a Strome in hand is worth two Schenns in the bush.

What have the Staals been up to?

There is just no chance this happens right now

edit: I completely misunderstood your post lol...upon rereading, I now understand and wholeheartedly agree

I was wondering what you were talking about.

Would think they separate Subban and Ekholm. Looks pretty thin on the other 2 pairs.

Well.. Mark TurnStaal is still anchoring the defense for the Rangers... and I do mean ANCHOR.

I said last year we should trade for Brayden Point...At the same time I want to make it clear that Mono said he wasn't good enough

I would think it would depend on the number of games they play over the course of however how many days.

For example, the Flyers started off with 3 games in 4 nights. I think it might have been difficult (but not impossible) to get a guy out to the West Coast (from LHV) on very short notice and get them ready to play.

If they have a stretch like when they go to Western Canada, along with some injury problems, it might be worth carrying the extra D.

Honestly, I don't think this team has ever truly recovered from not moving up and selecting Brett Lindros in the 1994 draft.

Haha I thought you meant trading a defenseman to someone since most of the conversation has revolved around getting Morin into the lineup.

From what I have seen...theyve split up Subban and Ekholm most of the time

If they do trade Morin, rest assured, he WILL become the next Pronger. At least in the eyes of the WIP crowd.

I just hate to think they wasted a pick. From the start, they said he was a 'project'

He is the next Pronger... that's why we must make way so his ERA can begin.

I think they just did it for Morin as a treat...kind of like when you give a dog ice cream before you euthanize it
