You can't do it in that situation unless your 100%. Understand the (frank)ing situation. Secure the god damn point. Yeah you got Richarded by the 5 vs 3. It was an emotional challenge. (frank)ing bullpoop

This is what I'm saying. At this time of the year and on the road. You bank a point and move on if you can't win in ot. If it's march and you're in desperate need of 2 pts ok.

My question is what the Hak were Weise and A Mac doing anywhere near the ice surface in that end game scenario to begin with? Why would you put yourself in that position? Watching those two try to do too much, just in an attempt to keep up with the Jones' has been the most laughable thing about this season thus far. Otherwise a commendable game on a lot of fronts obviously. To waste that Weal shift at the end there is a real shame.

The Philadelphia Flyers. The Laughing stock of the NHL with that gem. Sanheim doesn't look solid or ready quite frankly. Hakstol. Just wow.
- Pixote Andolini

It's frustrating for sure but that's a little hyperbole there.

Not sure what you're seeing with Sanheim but he doesn't look like he doesn't belong in the NHL. He's going to have his ups and downs in a normal player development progression but he belongs in this league.

It was a bad penalty by MacDonald there but he played a very strong game tonight as did Weise.

Did you watch him on the game winning goal? where he was laying on the ice infront of Elliot.

They played a perfect game aside from the first 10 and the last 10 minutes. I think it's more of a hiccup. Hak lost that game. Sanheim looks fine what are u watching?

I have watched hockey for nearly 40 years, and I can honestly say this is one of the most brutal losses I can remember -- I don't blame the guys who took the penalties. Those happen, and they are calling it close this season

They didn't even have offsides review until last year, and it wasn't a penalty until this year, so even that wasn't the killer

It's the combination of all of it, where they played well enough to win, should have gotten at least a point, and somehow wind up with nothing -- (frank). I don't remember another one like this

- AllInForFlyers

I didn't like the Weise penalty

AMac usually sucks, but he undeniably played a pretty good game at both ends tonight.

Amac takes a bad stupid penalty to make us down 2 players and eventually 3 with goalie pulled, and then after they score to tie it up, Hakstol rewards him by putting him back in for the 5 on 3..Hakstol more then the stupid challenge, has to much faith in Amac...should have put him on the bench after.

I'm sure it'll be debated heavily but was a stupid, stupid, STUPID challenge . On the road against the defending western conference champs in their home opener. Take the damn point an go home.
