LOL Nothing will happen. Small sample size and all that. We all want them to play well, but let's be honest: AMac literally got sent to the minors under the current coach and was a healthy scratch a few times under Chief, Weise was a healthy scratch for 15 or so games last season

I don't think a player is a whipping boy when they are not producing despite getting big minutes and/or PP time

Weise's poor overall season last year is probably the biggest reason for it but this is a new season and sample size is a factor. Weise has had a strong game tonight but he needs to follow it up with some consistent play. Same with Filppula in a new role on the PP. Give him a chance to adjust. There are some negatives to this game as I think Elliot has misplayed some pucks and I don't think Giroux has been very good but it's 3-3 in a game where it looked the Flyers were going to get run out of the building.

MacDonald was sent to the AHL in the 15/16 season. Not exactly current. Sample size works both ways. It's a new season, shouldn't we give any player some time to get better or is it okay to criticize after a small sample size?

The main reason Hextall dumped that horrid contract. Called it a win at the time for future cap space and was chastised. Too many people are in the here and now with an inability to see current team limitations. Umberger's money gone after this year. Clap, Clap, Clap.

Personally I think Weise has looked good with tk nolan in both games. If he finds chemistry with them I doubt he comes out the lineup. Like bill has mentioned his skating is a noticeable skill when he's with them and he's used his size. It's been my favorite line to watch tonight

It's not either/or, it's both. It's not incorrect to say Dale Weise is playing well tonight and he produced better at the end of last season and that he wasn't good prior to that.

Weal is so freaking good at protecting the puck. Good to see Weise having a strong game. this is what they need from him.

Not as bothered by G being turned on that goal but skating behind the net basically taking himself out of the play just can't happen. stick with you guy, pick someone up.

Amac has played well thru almost 4 games. he just has.

That all may be true but that point is that if were not going to give any player the benefit of a small sample size when they play a few subpar games then why are we going to inject sample size when they play a good game or two? Need to be consistent and fair and not have double standards.

Ghost sure can be a liability defensively.
