McPhee protecting assets? Almost 30 other teams reassigned players that were better or have more promise then some of the scrubs he should be sending to the AHL. All this is going to do is make it more difficult to attract free agents down the line.

How's Tomas Nosek doing in Vegas? It really sucked losing him to expansion. Since our GM Holland is a moron and left him unprotected we lost what looked to be an excellent prospect. He helped Grand Rapids win the Calder Cup last season in the AHL.

Schmidt play was cool, but I wonder what the coaching staff thought of it. Haha.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Chelios used to used a flatter curve so he could switch between righty and lefty while in the corners and so forth.

Thanks but no thanks. I do not wish to take on the thankless position of Kings blogger, even on an interim basis.

I hear S2TP is available.....

The sad part is that some of the "assets" he's protecting have little to no trade value at all, some would likely clear waivers.

He's overplaying a mediocre at best hand. The hardest time during the season to sell mediocre depth players is at the start of the season when most teams are relatively healthy and want to give their own guys a chance.

I'm guessing Shipachyov would probably sign elsewhere in the NHL if he had a chance to do it all over again, or at least seriously re-consider his decision of signing with Vegas.

Through all of this I truly feel bad for the veterans that will be stuck on this team for the foreseeable future. A lot of guys like Neal will get traded and be back to competitive hockey. Someone like Fleury is going to be wasting away prime years there due to his contract.
