I thought you couldn't trade for futures or cash any more. Just make it a conditional 7th round pick and have the condition be that Irving must appear in a minimum 752 NHL games this season and lead the league in goals by 463.

Edit: Also, wouldn't he have to be traded by the Flyers to San Deigo's parent club (Anaheim?) since he's on a two-way NHL contract?

No, Tokarski is the one with the two way deal, but both are in the AHL right now

But I can kill him for scratching one if them.

Play them in the NHL or the AHL. Scratching one or both is (frank)ing stupid. That's why I'm one of those "knee jerkers". Because I believe Morin shouldn't be sitting, he should be playing. If it's in the AHL? Fine. I do get the issue- personally, I don't care how many rookies start, but I'm not the coach. If he cares, then fine. If he trusts the vet MacDonald or Gudas, fine. Whatever the reason is, fine. If he plays and it's in the NHL for MacDonald? Even better.

Don't scratch him. Stupid.

I wouldn't be so outspoken against the coach's d decisions if it was say Schultz or Manning scratched. The fact that it's a 22 yo promising Morin is garbage. That's the problem.

I don't like him sitting either. How ever, he got to spend a week traveling with the team on the road. Got to practice with the NHL team and perhaps for a chance to work on his outlet passes so he can continue at the AHL level. Perhaps he even gets in the line up tomorrow. He missed two games, not a big deal. If he IS NOT making the Flyers perhaps this was an additional little perk for him to start the year.
As far as next year goes, Manning walks, if not dealt sooner. One of Morin or Meyers is in the A (Meyers waiver exempt) and AMac is #7. That leaves 2 years left for both AMac and GUDAS. If all the kids hit, it is a great problem to have and either of the vets can be moved.

I think it could be Ghost. Sanhiem can do his job on pp1 and Friedman maybe able to do that as well. He could bring a huge return. Don't want it but too many bodies.

Sorry, got them backwards. Wouldn't the Tokarski trade be from Anaheim to Philadelphia, not from San Diego to Lehigh Valley?

So, for example: if the Flyers sent Morin down to the AHL and he was then traded, that would be considered the Phantoms trading him, not the Flyers?

I understand it's basically all semantics, just curious.

Could be way off base but I think if it's an NHL or two way deal, it is a trade by the Flyers and the assign him to LHV. Other wise it is an AHL deal.

Yes, but that status was answered 2 days before the Phantoms had any games. More than enough time for him to join the Phantoms.
- jmatchett383

Think of the money they save by just letting him travel with the team instead of booking his solo return trip.

This will be used to sign a big name free agent in the off season.

Right. And since he was on a two-way NHL deal, he would have been traded from Anaheim, not San Diego.

Morin will never play another game, ever, and is a total bust.

Dank and there's an odd shadow in the corner that keeps shifting as if there's something there that won't quite come into focus in the low level lighting from the single exposed incandescent bulb.

A far distant #2 on the hate list after the Rags. But yes, love seeing them lose.

Not sure, the Devils have (frank)ed the Flyers and played that (frank)ING trap AND won 3 cups, way more poop then the Rags have done to us. They are one of the worst teams and yet (frank)ING beat us all the time. Things going to change NOW!

The Rangers hate runs deeper in me. Devils were a non-factor for the Flyers until the 90s, the Rangers have been hated since the 70s.
