The talks fine. The whole bringing it up every opportunity ala "Stepan for Dumba and Coyle" is annoying as balls - rangerdanger94
Can we discuss Staal for Dumba and Coyle? |

I answered you on other blog too, maybe they are trying to generate some trade value for Holden
no way he'll generate any interest if he isn't playing - jimbro83
The same could be said about Staal, if Deangelo should ever become trustworthy defensively, or Graves or another top prospect are found to belong only up here.
Despite his NMC, should Staal prove he can still play well, a team in desperate need (shortage or injury wise) for a former top NHL defensive minded d'man in order to contend for anything, may be willing to pick up a portion of his $5.7M cap hit through 2020/21. That would benefit us if the overall amount picked up provides us more available cap space, than would the difference via him bought out after the season, including his overall buyout cap hit charges. If not, we will likely be paying cap hit charges for both Staal & Girardi for an additional few years there after.
In addition, wasn't there an NHL team that signed Girardi at $3M after he was recently bought out, despite having Callahan's contract? Maybe Cally had some inluence with that Tampa Bay's signing as well, just as he did with Stralman and Brian Boyle a few summers ago. |

yeah, true, it's like why trade for anyone when Vegas will give them away like some dude throwing around paper towels - jimbro83
... the dude whose own GOP member, Bob Corker, said today about that paper towel throwing dude, that his other actions "threaten & could set the U.S. on a path to WWIII", in addition to saying that "the White House has become an adult day care center".
Another GOP member added that "the White House tries daily to contain t***p, as he is a national security risk". |

I did say Staal played well. Plus, I felt Smith shouldn't have been the only one to sit, but get why he and ADA didn't sit based on the alignment.
Brooks column today noted the same on Holden/Kampfer, so I am not the only one. I wanted Kampfer to stay around as an extra d-man and was fine with just not giving Holden away, despite his second half struggles. But just because Montreal didn't score, doesn't mean they each played well. Toronto is a much better offensive club clearly than Montreal, which partially explains Smith's struggles. But he didn't play well. - airjan23
I agreed with you Jan as to Smith on the prior blog, and still found it surprising that A.V. scratched him instead of Deangelo, against a team they recently had a war like series at times against, where Smith was a force both physically and defensively in that series win. Hank had a off night in Toronto, but A.V. came back with him, which I agreed with as well. So why not Smith, against the also win less, Claude Julien led Habs in what could have been, but luckily was not a war like game last night.
We can't overlook that they were not playing an offensive force in the Leafs last night. Yet, it required Hank to be perfect, along with 1 of 2 waved off Habs goals that may have not been waved off in some cases. Furthermore, in that 6 games series win last postseason, the Rangers only outscored Montreal by a 12-11 count, with the turning point, and 1 extra & most important goal scored by who else, but Zibby in that crucial OT win in Montreal. |

No, but at least that one's words, "trade Stepan" will not be posted here any longer. We still await for his assets to be replaced at center.
Sadly, I don't believe that I can say that the same one's, "trade Fast" posts will not be as well, unless this season, his will be "trade Staal", or even better for him for who he was against in signing, "trade Shatty". |

I love Butchy so its not an insult. I find Kenny losing his train of thought and mispronouncing words when he gets excited.
He should throw Cangelosi off when the devils score. No one would notice the screaming |

Tampa's, J.T. Brown claims to have received death threats, after raising his right fist up high while remaining standing at the Lightning's bench during the national anthem prior to Saturday's game vs. the Panthers.
OVI claims that for his pregame pasta meals, he altered them thus far this season with a new "special sauce".
Varlamov shuts out Bruins (29 saves, 4-0). Avs vs. Knights in Western Finals? |

... well, not quite, and don't worry KreiderBomb. By time they face their 41st straight backup to possibly go 41-0, the opposition will then reverse its thinking, and make them go against their #1 goalie, to leave them starting out on the golf course as early as possible once again. |
