So Vanek with the Sedin's and Granny isn't playing center.
- manvanfan

Vanek with the sedins is honestly so cringe worthy. Mcdavid must be poopting his pants right now.

I think the fans and media are caring more about being entertained with youth than they really care about winning. I personally dont like dorsett as a player but completely understand this move. Heck i think burmistrov deserves to play over Boeser.

As a fan, I wouldn't go to a game knowing the team is going to lose even if the game is going to end 6-5.

Yeah that's for today. I don't see TG being static in line up or roster. So hope BB gets some time mentor wise with Sedins in a middle six role at some point.

Willie is the biggest idiot to step behind the Canucks bench. Green is at least intelligent. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt for the first month as well

Boeser should mentor after Bo, not the aging sedins. Bo put in the work in the offseason to be a dynamic skater after establishing it as a weakness. Bo is the leader this team needs. Sedins need to GTFO (with all due respect to them)
- Codes1087

Mentor would be the best role for Sedins ending their career this season. They are here so that would be best development for Canucks. That means the other players out performed them. Bo is in not a mentor role but a do it all and lead the team track. I wouldn't be surprised if BB spent playing time between Bo and Sedins this season.

Bo is a prime example of how a newcomer should approach each day to becoming a NHL regular. I am so done with the Sedins.

Mentorship doesn't = linemates or playing ability or how fast you can skate. It's about off the ice. Pretty much every teammate/coach says they work the hardest off the ice. They might suck as players these days, but the last thing i'd criticize is the example they set off the ice when it comes to work ethic and dedication to staying in shape, eating right, training, maturity, etc.

I feel as if there is a reason why the entire NHL doesn't do a lot of the things that is mentioned on here. Most even above average fans don't know what it takes to be in the NHL. Never will. I make a serious attempt to listen to what people in and around the game are saying. Then when someone like Ferraro makes a point and people take it way out of context because they don't know what he is actually talking about. Lead's to things like a petition for Eddie Lack.

I love to join the hysteria as much as everyone else. poop's hilarious.

I think Hyman will get more points. Leafs are a high scoring team Canucks not so much.
- VANTEL

Yeah they hope Hyman will have a Maroon type season. But stats in pool are more then scoring so appreciate the gift off waivers I saw Htich wasn't going to use Honka as hoped so made the util change.

The Sedin's are odd. Maybe how they handle the media and off ice training. On ice they shouldn't be mentoring anyone because no one else plays the game like them.

I never liked the signing. I settled and am going to allow him to learn. He does need to make strides and not fall into the same trap that WD did.

I get that. But Bo just came off an elc. Was told his skating was not up to par. Spends his entire summer with a power skating coach and now dangles defenders with his speed. First one on the ice and last off. If you want to make money off an ELC he should just look at Bo. The sedins are accomplished players there is no denying, but they are near done with the canucks and playing.

That's fine and for BB he's in the same mold as Bo. What BB can learn from Sedins this season is something Bo hasn't established yet. That experience of where and when to be in the play and outsmarting opposition at NHL level would help improve BB's game as NHL pro.

😂😂👍

I did remind ppl of TG poker winnings.
WD was a poor poker player.
It is still all about let it play out over a long season.
Again its not a sprint.

So that stuff that Jim said about if a prospect outplays a vet we will find a spot was all fluff? Not surprised

Did I miss something? Did they send Boeser down or something? I'm pretty sure he made the team even if he sits tonight. You are taking things out of context.

Which is why attendance is down and no matter if they played all the youth only it wouldn't get fans to fill stadium. Another reason why Canucks tried to make team competitive this season to give allure that games can be won. While bring in the youth in spurts to learn. It may have a come and see effect. Rebuilds aren't popular.

Wow, Twitter is freaking out about Boeser sitting tonight.

It makes complete sense to me. He had a blank stat line in the preseason game against Edmonton last week - with 2:49 of power-play time. And he faded in general during the later stages of preseason.

With his skating being the weakest part of his game, I don't think Edmonton is a good matchup for him. Jake's way better suited to play against the Oilers.

Brock will get his chance soon enough.

Much of the hysteria factory has just wiped the name JV from their stories and inserted Boeser. Last season they were rotating the cut and paste story between Rodin and JV... hacks
