That was a support post to someone else slamming DD. My points still stand. He didn't fight or knock guy's down did he? Maroon tried and he turtled.

But TG gave DD a pest role. Which when I saw him play right away I posted how effective he was. So sell the indignation somewhere else.

I didn't call you out on wanting to sit JV or send him to Comets. Kid was noticeable out there in the right way and drew two penalties.

I never said JV needed to go to Utica. I said I would prefer him to play bigger minutes then shelled 4th line minutes or the press box. I also said I would have liked to see BB because he slows down the game. Both players bring different skill sets.

He played 7:34, Vanek was next least at 13:18.

It's not exactly as if JV won the game for the canucks. His stat line is pretty poor. Yeah he drew a penalty or two. Great but that's not the entire game. I want to see more from JV. For that to happen, he's going to need more minutes.

Wow the Jet's team can't play defence. Buff is a major major problem. If Chevy doesn't trade him soon, JB isn't the worst GM in the league. Chevy is.

That lis ike saying you don't want JV up unless he's playing top minutes. JV has to earn those NHL minutes by showing how he can handle what's assigned to him now. Also, JV is not on the PP/PK; or assigned shut down role; or top scoring line. So his minutes would be less.

It's a progression for JV and more will come by how he's being handled now by TG. Kid looks effective not lost or running around. Knowing he can play in the NHL will grow that confidence to do more. That's key. No amount of AHL icetime will teach that. Then you'll see more of an impact and expanded role.

After seeing how Granlund is being handled I am not worried if he is being developed as a winger. He will eventually be a center

Maybe he is the playmaking winger that Bo needs to be an elite center?
A couple good looking centers in this coming draft. Gaudette might turn out to be a decent 2nd line, 3rd more likely though.

Bo JV Granlund give me hope with this team . Having Gagner and Sutter also for the next three years makes me think we will be okay. It should only get better

The Fancy stats for some of the players last night. I can see why Gagner was so much better against bad competition last season.

A good scorer and an east-west player (EP) will really help this team in the future.

Thoughts on EG?

Good team effort tbh.

No one played real poorly from what i saw.
Mistakes were made at the start, but that's ok.

Marky was good after that weak start.
D was good, Edler played well, Stetch stood up and didn't need a goalie to back him up. Gudbranson made his presence known. I didn't notice much from Tanev (which is good), Hutton was invisible and MDZ made a couple good passes.

Sedin's played well and Vanek had a couple chances himself.
Bo's line was good clearly.
JV played well.
4th line was great.
Erikson and Burmistov even looked decent.
I suppose Gagner was the biggest no-show for the fwds imo.

I liked the pace and the quick shots tonight.
Good start.

I have really liked his game so far this year. I think he is moving players from in front and making hits on other teams tough guys. I wish he had someone to have his back but very impressed so far with him.

I like Edler a lot more now that we don't need to rely on his offense.

Pom Poms out in full force, good win. The parade route should be getting mapped out shortly.

Team does have a pretty soft forward and D group. I'm not sure I really like the MDZ-Guds pairing. MDZ is more a pass out of the zone type player. Like someone who skates the puck out a bit more to play with Guds.

I am happy for Sutter and EG so far this year including preseason. So far so good. Makes me remember why we went after them .

Lets hope Travis's hunch on Pulliot is correct too

I never understood the dislike for Sutter, he's a leader and does the work.

Gudbranson's worth is incomplete for the time being.

Easy big fella, pull back those reigns a bit. I was pleasantly surprised but the Canucks were outshot 35-26, they were outhit 26-16 and they got two fortunate goals. The bounce on Sutter's goal and a very weak shortside goal for Horvat.

Just trying to keep it real

I always liked Sutter also. I thought WD used him incorrectly also.

With EG he was brutal last year . This year so far much better
