I wish it counted ... he'd have more goals then my entire line up lol. ...dam waivers takes too long. That's not fair to you though he should have counted for you until he passed over.

You have to give props to DD , he got under peoples skin. That is how I remembered him against Sid in the playoffs. When you haven't seen him in a year you forget how effective he can be

That was a support post to someone else slamming DD. My points still stand. He didn't fight or knock guy's down did he? Maroon tried and he turtled.

But TG gave DD a pest role. Which when I saw him play right away I posted how effective he was. So sell the indignation somewhere else.

I didn't call you out on wanting to sit JV or send him to Comets. Kid was noticeable out there in the right way and drew two penalties.

Back to your old ways, picking fights and poor me syndrome.

FFS stay out of it. It's a retort post to manvan. He's man enough to handle it. But really enjoying how the Canucks played, not because of the win, way too much to have you cheapen it.

Nothing like a win to bring us together.

I missed the third, but I almost got wood; the first two periods were sexy.

I bet the good will won't last til Tuesday.....I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, (even our guests)

Now lets hope things don't devolve, as someone posted video from the last fight on this thread.

It's weird to me that Edmonton uses Caguila and Russel on the PP.
Shouldn't they have better options?

WD was a change in attitude behind the bench. But his benefit was that the Sedins clicked on PP with Virbata cashing in. That helped him look good in with the wins.

But the game plans and system 5x5 didn't seem much different from what Tortella was peddling. Only difference was that WD didn't berate the players for being stale like Torts did.

Being good to vets takes you so far. Got to keep all accountable and be smart about how you deploy and use your talent.

TG has a long way to go but he is doing things different. For me it's better. It may not win him enough games to make a difference this season. But it lays a good foundation for style as new players come in to improve the talent level.

Who the (frank) are you to tell anyone to stay out of it? You butt in on any and everything on here. If anyone wants to voice their opinion about someone who continually causes a problem on here they will.

Suppose.
I guess they are loading up that PP1.
Just surprising that they couldn't find better options for the point.

Why fight when you have the lead? Nothing in it for you and everything bit of momentum to lose.

Agree. It was a smart and unexpected move. Sure looks like TG defined DD's new pest role well. Works better for him then previous role he tried so innefectively under WD. Sure is needed with Burr gone.

It looks like DD can make this type of game work well when deployed against the superstars of this league.

Oh yes... a good pest/shadow is way better than a goon these days.

It's a pretty good 4th/checking line really.
Sutter can win the draws and is a good defensive fwd, DD is the pest that can hit a bit and Granlund has wheels and can score. Markus on teh forecheck can really haul and get back in the play back-checking.

Good team effort tbh.

No one played real poorly from what i saw.
Mistakes were made at the start, but that's ok.

Marky was good after that weak start.
D was good, Edler played well, Stetch stood up and didn't need a goalie to back him up. Gudbranson made his presence known. I didn't notice much from Tanev (which is good), Hutton was invisible and MDZ made a couple good passes.

Sedin's played well and Vanek had a couple chances himself.
Bo's line was good clearly.
JV played well.
4th line was great.
Erikson and Burmistov even looked decent.
I suppose Gagner was the biggest no-show for the fwds imo.

I liked the pace and the quick shots tonight.
Good start.

Good observation. Which is why I'd rather have BB's firepower weapon in use to counter high scoring Oilers. Prefer that to dressing the can't intimidate or fight effectively DD. But maybe best DD get his real game situation to get slaughtered by Maroon, slammed by Lucic and Kassian. Then TG can have the ammo to break through the vet code barrier and say sorry your game doesn't cut it anymore take a seat.

Vanek with the sedins is honestly so cringe worthy. Mcdavid must be poopting his pants right now.
- Codes1087

The best part was their limited minutes, suggesting that TG will govern minutes based on how players are playing. Vanek actually had a couple of decent chances but as much as I love the Sedins, they are not able to handle the puck anymore. So many soft passes to the opposition.

its only 1 game , but Rodin over Bearschi ? better LW option
- onesmallleap

Sven got the break away and looked dangerous at times. I hope they keep that line together so it can gel. Bo looks ready to take the next step, and Loui looked better than he ever has as a Canuck.
