There was a graphic during pre-game that highlighted the 10 players on this teams opening night roster that weren't here last year. The significance of this is that this has not happened since 1970, our first season in the league.

We also have a new coach with a new system installed.

This will take more than one game and a training camp to sort out.

We looked better than last year, and I'm confident we will improve on last nights performance moving forward.

Not arguing, but by this logic the coach would put in the backup goalie for shootouts cuz Lehner's record is dismal.
We just paid the kid 80 large and he's our best offensive player so put him out there any chance you can when it's him one-one-one with a 'tender is my 2 cents.

I look at it like this...we need to learn how to win. Like RJ said last night...let's see how they do with a 1G lead in the third...Other than the Lehner boner, they looked fine. I was disappointed in the loss, but optimistic for exciting play for this year...

Buffalo looked like an NHL team last night. I have high hopes. This team is going to be FAST soon. If the likes of Bailey, Baptiste, Guele, and Rodrigues can get some good seasoning in the Rock and then come up, we are going to be a dynamic team. I want to like Lehner but he seems to let in a bunch of stupid goals. That being said, how does a dude get a wrap around in your zone when you're on the PP? We are very close to being very good.

This, hating losing but that shg killed them imo, they played a great game regardless. Love Antipins speed and the dmen were all over the ozone all night

I think if we make a trade for a young player that we could get pretty cheap for a second round pick to play with jack and Pominville The Sabres need look into it
