He got sheltered minutes it seems. I noticed him a few times, but for good reasons. I think he'll be a good addition. They're making sure he has time to adjust and all that.

Is he a good skater? A big guy? Never saw him play in pre season.

He's not a big guy but not tiny either. Seems pretty fast. Likes to jump into the rush and seems pretty active out there.

he made a few decent jumps up in the play.. for the most part i don't think anyone played bad other than a few bad shifts here and there (ROR im looking at you)

I think Phil leaned on Risto, Scandella more in the 3rd with it being a close game

What I saw, Antipin looked fine

Missed 3 shots on net, so he may be our next Zhitnik

if im reading the matchup chart right it looks like the Weber pairing got their poop pushed in by Reinharts line

if they keep that tempo for 75 or so games of the season, they will be a playoff team

This is pretty spot on. They played well. Unfortunately the 2 mistakes they made ended up in the back of the net.

I'm not sure that the lack of scoring was because they just can't finish or if it was because they faced Price. My guess would be it's probably a bit of a combination of both though.

Can't believe Leafs and Sabres don't meet until March. That's a joke.

Ray was saying that about Beaulieu a few weeks ago. Said the resemblance to Zhitnik is very scary.

The entire Reinhart line was 80% possession.

Pretty, pretty good.

Some good signs from this game

oh baby just roll out the norris.

In all seriousness he had a very good game despite the outrageous ice time.

Strange though, i thought they were going to get the d-zone treatment. He and Griffith had the highest Xgf of our forwards. Risto had the highest

i think its both.. price played a good game but i dont think buffalo had any outstanding shots that he had to really make a great save on either

Yep, I'd have to agree... it was a lot more fun to watch that is for sure.
I think it might take some time for them to settle into this system but I like the upside.

I still can't believe we gave Lehner a contract. We could have plugged in any other Chad Johnson type and just moved on.

I think if they were playing a lesser goalie, we probably would have gotten one more by them. Part of what makes Price good is that he's just always in the right place at the right time. Other goalies manage to find themselves out of position a bit more frequently.

Overall, I liked how they played last night. Just need to clean up the few mistakes.

And for the love of god, can we figure out a way to fix the shootout. (shooters and goalie)

at least on the goalie thing.. pull a mighty ducks and put the back up in for the shoot out..

i thought the missed shot on the first attempt would get the monkey off of Lehners back... i was wrong.

Price completely shut the door on two powerplays that probably deserved a goal (on at least one of them i mean). But thats their guy, thats why he gets the big bucks. sometimes just gotta tip your cap and move on.
