Hes not over weight out of shape, lets pump the brakes here a bit.

They just said they fell it was behind some guys with his conditioning based on his camp.

Also we are assume its out of shape bc Bednar said he just has "some catching up to do"....could just mean system wise, but it made it sound like hes not game ready

You were the one that brought it up and worded it in a way that was open for interpretation. Probably would have been better off not saying anything at all.

I think that and they want to have a balance of their top 2 lines a little more too.

I've seen the bottom two pairings switched around depending on the reporter... my bad.

Speaking switched around...

BS that you face me in fantasy this week and both my WR1 and RB1 are on bye.

Everyone talking like we're gonna get 4+ goals tonight. While it would be nice, I'm hoping for 2! The Sabres haven't scored more than 1 goal in each of the last 5 openers! Going against Price tonight, more than 1 might be asking a lot, unfortunately. Still hoping they surprise us tonight, though!

Unfortunately, the lines didn't shake out as well as I, or many of us, had hoped going into the off season. At least at the beginning of the season, the kids were a disappointment in not making the roster either due to average to below average performances or injury. Hopefully 1, if not 2 of those kids will show strong in Rochester soon and make the transition because we need a lot more talent in the top 9.

Was reallllllly hoping Zemgus was gonna stick on that 2nd pair... hopefully they rotate him and Pouliet a bit there.

Although... Zemgus/Sam could be even better... idk.

FYI before the troll train starts.

Zads is a healthy scratch today bc he is not in game shape yet missing part of camp and the team skates prior to it

So you'll trade him back on the cheap is what you're saying?

I agree, although not cuz I don't think he's that good (like you) but because we have gaping holes in our top-6 at wing and he's already proven to be a 20+ goal winger. For now it might make sense to put Sam up and slide Larsson back to center...he sucks at wing traditionally.

Unless him or Okposo go to LW... I don't know.

Pommer play LW at all? Not that I'm aware of.

I think he is decent. I don't think he's looked decent at center, going back to last year.

Nah

Personally I would like Pommer on Reinharts wing on the third line. But obviously this would create a large hole on the top line.

Sure but then you have Pommer on the third line with some pretty scrubby players.

Right.

I'll be curious of what some of the PP units look like. Last year they had Jack back as that defensemen slot basically.

I think its

First unit:

Eichel, Oreilly, Reinhart, Okposo, Risto

Second unit:

Kane, Pommer, Griffith, Beaulieu, Antipin

They really must love Griffith
