Said this last night, Boucher is a great announcer, loved listening to him call the game.

I really hope that when Doc retires that Boucher is a part of the go-to playoff broadcast crew. He's so much better than Pierre.

Morin in the lineup could have solved that problem.....just sayin....

I really wanna see Sam play, but as a really big, physical rookie he's going to get called for plenty of penalties, justified and unjustified.

Ah, but can you not also build a bridge of stone?
- jmatchett383

maybe for the car to get across, but once the truck tries to go across, it will surely collapse under its own weight.

You may think the Golden Gate bridge is made from gold or gates, but it is actually woven strands of an 8 year contract at a modest AAV that hold up the entire structure

A rookie against a top offensive player could've also created more problems. We just don't know. I'd rather see him given a shot at it.

I was watching the Blues game last night, I forget who they were playing. But whenever Olli Maata had the puck (again, forget what team he plays for), Pierre said "Olli Ma-TA" in this really odd, almost childish voice, similar to how a baby would say "Mama." Dude is such a weiner.

You don't think he'll start Neuvirth tonight?

Yes other than that oversight. I was focused on the skater lineup.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that AMac is going to be in the lineup the whole season unless he gets hurt. This likely means that except when he comes up due to injuries, Sanheim is likely playing in the AHL for most of the year. I do expect Morin to replace Manning in the lineup at some point, and I'm hoping by seasons end, to see the following pairings:

Provorov-Hagg or Gudas
AMac-Hagg or Gudas
Morin-Ghost
spare-Manning

- BiggE

AMac wore an "A" last night. He's not going anywhere

I think he earned respect when they sent him down and he didn't cause problems. I think he showed some character there and they don't view him as a problem right now

I thought he was fine last night. The goal that wnet off him was just bad puck luck. He will never be the $5 million player he is signed for, but i can be honest and say with the exception of the Thornton line that nobody could handle, he was just another defenseman in the NHL out there

Surely Hextall didn't bring both Morin and Sanheim on a four game road trip with the plan that neither of them play an NHL game while they miss two AHL games.

I would put Sanheim with Gudas tonight. They played together a couple of times in preseason.

- Feanor

I want them in. I am just wondering what has changed that would make that decision anything other than a "well, (frank), let's just try this out" type of move.

He wants Hagg playing his 3rd NHL game while Sanheim plays his 1st? 2nd NHL game was just too risky? He wanted the size of Manning to deal with a bigger team like the Sharks while Morin sat in the press box?

I don't want Morin and Sanheim (yes, one will got back to the AHL) involved in random lineup decisions for most of the season.

I don't want that either. I want whichever one stays up to be playing regularly.

Again, I think (or at least hope) the uncertainty with the Ghost injury was the reason Manning played last night.

The two rookies on the bench need to go out and prove that they belong on this team. Not only that, they need to clearly demonstrate they’d improve the team. Also gaining the coaches trust would help. Gotta do all the little things right. Go that extra mile.

I highly doubt they did anything between the end of last nights game and today to show this. No morning skate either.

So the coach or anyone else shouldn’t be blamed for icing the same lineup tonight.

Sorry folks, guys sitting need to prove it first. I don’t care if they were at the gym at the crack of dawn or fetched the coach breakfast. Gotta do it the right way and show it on the ice.

Wayne Simmonds scored 3 goals on 3 shots. That fraud Connor McDavid needed 7 shots to score 3 goals.

Simmonds > McDavid.

Could have been 6-2 Flyers also, your point?
- BiggE

My point is that it's pure folly to replace players in a game that has already happened.

Just pointing it out because I think it is funny...from our long lost friend Jsaq

Hextall has traded Scott Hartnell, Kimmo Timonen & Mark Streit while they were alternate captains & left Pierre-Edouard Bellemare exposed

It's a little odd both rookies sat. Hextall has steadfastly said he wouldn't have a rookie on the team sitting because they need to be playing.

I want to get a movement started.

Edit:

Now that Simmonds and McDavid are tied in goals, time is never better to trade him. McDavid for Simmonds straight up.

That's a whole lot of hyperbole, but not quite enough hyperbola.
