We did play decent tonight, but if you truly think about how we played, we are still a perimiter playing team. Rarely any chances or shots from the middle.

they had chances. they still pass up too many chances to shoot. they still lack pure goal scorers. I really would like to see patrick step up offensively. still like lines 1 (altho really they all are pass first players), 2 and 4 but i just am having a hard time liking line 3.

I fully expect Sanheim to be out of the lineup Saturday.

all in all, I still like this team WAY more than last year's team. they are heading in the right direction. I just want them to be hard to play against and be fun to watch which i think they have been over the first two games

Agreed, I really think tho if Sanheim is sat down Saturday now for Manning, this might hurt his confidence a bit.

If Sanheim is out I really want to see Morin in. Honestly I wanted to see him in tonight against a team as big as the Kings not that Sanheim is small. the Ducks are a big team as well

Stuff I liked:
1. Overall team speed
2. Line 4
3. Line 1
4. Neuvirth was good enough to win
5. Defensemen overall were good enough

Stuff I didn't like:
1. PP1 is gonna need a shooter in the Hartnell/Schenn slot, it appears

Seriously, that's it. They just got beat. Sanheim looked like he was playing his first game. I would go right back to him Saturday -- it's one game. If the leash is that short, there is no point to this. He doesn't have to stay two months, but another few games would be something that he can learn from.

One other thing: It might be a criticism to some, but the Flyers gave up two goals off the rush. It wasn't like they got absolutely manhandled. They just got beat

That's really it. Nuevy played well enough to win. Both goals were net front deflection off the rush. Quick played crazy good. Needed to bang him and get rebounds. He really didn't give many up. They out cycled and outshot them. Good effort.

Maybe Read stays in LHV, Manning in the press box and they rotate the rookies. Would like to see Morin against the Ducks, and Sanhiem against the Preds. I they won't stick them all in right now, is a rotation better then playing huge minutes in the AHL. Just trying to get them all NHL time as best we can.

I watched both games so I too am late night crew. Just don't get to post much.
