If that Rangers keep their first round pick, it just depends where that pick falls. if falls below the 20 or so mark, the chances of them draft a goalie does up if they think one has a first round grade.

I wouldnt want them drafting a goalie with their first round pick, that'll annoy the eff out of me
What’s bad: Like a bird crashing into glass, the Rangers are unaware that the window is closed. How long before everyone shanks Kevin Shattenkirk and blames him for Henrik Lundqvist having a .908 save percentage? Does he make it to November before he totally regrets signing with his beloved childhood team? It reflects poorly on Rick Nash that he wouldn’t warn Shattenkirk to sign literally anywhere else. “These 18,000 idiots that scream gibberish during the national anthem 41 nights a year will eat you alive when I leave after the season.” Yeah, well, you’d scream at you too if you poop the bed every postseason. The Rangers traded their best center and best goaltender and the coach still has no idea how to use his lineup. The Rangers have mastered the art of the unimpressive 100-point season.
Don't worry, the Isles one is adequately-brutal also.

Lozo is such a dooosh, he always hated Stepan and hated the Rangers blueline

It would have to be a complete stud goalie with another year or two of college eligibility. I just do not see many goalies wanting to come to NYR and sit behind Hank for a few years before entering their prime.

He hates everything. I unfollowed him but this got retweeted into my timeline and it's actually pretty funny. It's literally just him poopting on every single team.
I was dying laughing when he was tweeting about how he writes whatever he wants and has been fired from a whole bunch of jobs though. Congrats on taking your moral stance and accepting the fact that you are an unemployable maggot.

you see his take on the 'Nucks?
Vancouver Canucks
2016-17 record: 30-43-9
What’s bad: Everyone on this team makes too much money and is completely untradeable: The Sedins ($7M each), Loui Eriksson ($6M), Bo Horvat ($5.5M), Alex Edler ($5M), Brandon Sutter ($4.375M), and Derek Dorsett ($2.65M). Every negotiation with Jim Benning must be the inverse of when Albert Brooks takes the first offer in Defending Your Life. And now the Sedins are 37 years old and done. This roster is two-week-old Chinese food leftovers in the back of the fridge that should have been thrown out 11 days ago.
Is this the same Dorsett that played for the Rangers a few seasons ago?

I'd definitely rather trade the first round pick for Joe Thornton than use it on a goalie that's for sure

Depends. The 2005 draft for goalies was good, almost all the way through. The 2007 draft as a whole, but particularity for goalies was terrible.
Cause I'm sure that won't backfire at all. - tomburton99

The NHL these days has shown that sure, goalies can steal a game or two, but it's the whole team that wins the Cup. Hell...look what happened the past two seasons.
I would not draft a goalie until the later rounds unless Patrick Roy cloned his 20-year old self somehow.
