I think Isles healthy scratching Ho-Sang tonight, surprising to me, when I watched them in pre-season he looked dominant

I can go back to talking about the Rangers will regret not getting a point out of last night's game, if you want?

I saw a kid who has a ton of skill but doesn't seem to know how to work with his teammates on the ice. I think Barzal is going to be light years better.

I'm pretty sure they just missed the playoffs last night.

Av also said to press he might kill penalties. So Clearly AV either lied or has amnesia.

Thought Desharnais looked good on PP in preseason. Not surprised he's getting chance on 2nd unit. Vigneault said Chytil might kill penalties

You're right, he did. I could retort that he didn't say Chytil would kill penalties in the first game of his career, but I don't like to think about the Rangers re-Tort-ing.

He shouldn't even be considered to kill penalties. Killing penalties in the NHL is beyond my scope of brain power, meaning it has to be extremely difficult. Not only difficult mentally, taxing physically as well with the amount of stop-stops in skate to re main in position. Why not put Chytil on the power play? He'll have a little extra room to make plays and if he happens to score that may boost his confidence. But nope that's not how the rangers operate. Let's have DD on the power play. A player that the franchise will most like be moving on from in 9 months. Some of AV's coaching decision make zero sense. Not just this yer, but going back to last year.

Barzal is going to be much better and a more complete player, but I don't think I would say Ho Sang doesn't work with his teammates on the ice. If you go back and look at his junior stats you'll see that he posts a lot more assists than he does goals. He does hang onto the puck for a long time, but he's always looking for the setup play. I can understand how that might make him appear to be a bit selfish and/or a puck hog, but I don't think it's an actual problem.

The guy has ridiculous hands and is an excellent (and fast) skater, I have no problem with the team maintaining possession on zone entries rather than dumping and chasing.

Can confirm Vadim Shipachyov is NOT in Dallas. Where exactly he is, that we do not know at this point.

I'm just going by what I saw in preseason. Like I said the kid has a ton of skill and maybe it will just take a bit to gel, but it seemed like there wasn't a 3 man forward unit. More like Ho Sang holding possession and the other two forwards kind of out of sync.

Give us a short review 'from the stands', RD
- 21peter

Sat behind the net where the rangers shot twice. My main takeaway is we need to create more traffic in front of the net. From my perspective, varamlov wasn't anything special. He had clear view of every shot thrown at him so he was able to make saves easily.
