In Hawks 10-1 win:

Every Penguin had a minus game rating:
Crosby, Schultz, & Dumoulin (-4) Each, and Letang, Maata, & Sheary (-5) Each

In only catching the game highlights of Wednesday's night loss to the Blues, Murray appeared to look closer to his actual body size off the ice while in the net. Maybe his new reduced size fitted goalie pants used as per their new restrictions, plus even more so, a smaller appearing in size & design, chest/arm protector, is somewhat a factor for his 11 GA in about 112 minutes of play. That, even if the latter hasn't seen as much in new regulations attached to them yet like the pants.

Excluding all other factors, having the first 10 games of 13 at home may be the key to determine our chances of just reaching this postseason. It played out that way last season where a slower start of any kind would have buried us, after later playing about only .500% winning hockey for the final 3 or 4 months. Even a team like Tampa after playing behind the eight ball for all of last season, could not recover in time just to qualify for the postseason.

Rangers had a lot of shots but Varlamov saw all of them. Need to be better with putting bodies in front of the goalie.

Zibinajed was best player on the ice last night, even better than the great Duchene

he was 18-6 on faceoffs, two goals, should have had another one late in the game, 8 shots on net. Looks like #1 center material to me.

out with the dirty bathwater .. cmon ... some of these so called fans do not come to praise NYR hockey but to bury NYR hockey... hearing alot of shovels moving the dirt already..easy going there !!! need i say more

Rangers could conceivably start off 1-4 or 0-5 then the Devils come in, we know how that game would go

I think there is practically zero chance of that happening. Vegas would probably want an over payment anyway.

I'm not sure how they would acquire a top 6 type center in the immediate future and nobody would like the price.
