away...it is easy to remember...AMac moves away from the blueline, AMac needs to go away, AMac = Away - YuenglingJagr
Let him play.He was ever good enough to play 2nd or 3rd pair
Why blame him years on end for him being overpaid
When that was done I am sure Homer was asking Ed Snider for permission to spend all the millions |

I think Sanheim would be more suitable in Ghost's PP spot than Provorov. Dress him!
I would like to see Morin face Thornton his fair share tonight. Dress him. |

What I learned in 178 days.
Pink Floyd rules.
A lot of people like the show G,O.T.
We have rookies who could be good.
Hoping for a shorter summer 2018!

Its obviously Weise for a multitude of reasons. So lets just call him VDW.
Also Amac with the A is hilarious. Guess he is a "good soldier" like Bellemare was last year. More proof this organization has this weird fetish with "good soldiers" and those that "do things the right way" even if that means playing bad hockey.
Really strange. - StepfordSam
Yes, it is really strange that a 10 year veteran who is respected by his teammates would get voted an alternate captain over some of the rookies just joining the team. |

So the general consensus of the message boards are that:
1. The flyers aren't a playoff team
2. Why is AMac in the lineup, an Alt Captain, breathing air
3. Brandon Manning belongs in a disney on ice production over being in the NHL
4. Excitement about the kids
5. Weise seems like this years VDV
One thing Im surprised hasnt been mentioned yet at all, are the names Neuvirth and Eliott. I'd call that baby steps. - sjk540
Goaltending doesn't matter yet, you need an elite goaltender to win the cup, but the Flyers are just trying to make the playoffs.
Joke of the Day:
Henrik Lundqvist, Ryan Miller, Cory Crawford, Cary Price, Peke Rinne, MA Fleury walk into a bar. The bartender yells "Hey, if you want to come in here you have to be an Elite goaltender AND have won the Stanley Cup!". They all turn around and walk out. |

Well I certainly wouldn't give it to a rookie either. |

I'm a little surprised Voracek didn't beat out one of Mac or Filppula in votes. He's been here for a long time and at times seems a more vocal leader than Giroux. I remember the 2014 series against the Rangers (seems like so long ago now) every time the camera was on the bench it looked like Voracek was the captain by how vocal and intense he was.
Couturier has been around for a long time at this point, but he seems quiet so I'm not surprised he wasn't voted an A. |

Some Captains are not vocal they lead by example which is what I view G as. Also you don't need the letter on the jersey to be a leader. |

Being Captain or an Assistant Captain has a lot more involved than just revving up the guys. On ice responsibilities, locker room, events, mentoring, etc. Plus a team needs to spread out players not playing together so they can interact with officials to relay info back to the coaching staff. |

HAHAH this is nice... Course I can't wait for Lehtera to hit the ice... I think he deserves his shot at our disdain. |

I lied, here are my predictions:
1) 2Real blames the goaltending after every loss
2) PLind is PLind
3) MJL has "adult debates" 82 times over the season
4) Schenn scores his first goal of the year and someone screams they should of kept him then cries about missing his boyish good looks
5) JoeGrief says something insightful, but no one realizes it
6) Toronto and Philly become rivals this year and the ban wars begin - Glak18
Haha. @ number one on your list. I can't wait to hear about bgbe

Pumped for the beginning of the season. Need to start well but this road trip will be a challenge. Going to need solid tending to come home with the split! |

I am just happy I don't have to see Vandevelde in the starting lineup.
And in regards to MacDonald. The better he plays the better for the Flyers and maybe the best thing to help get him traded. |

I think I'm still in shock we actually have cap space this season to start the season even though we are carrying Umberger (still) and bonus overages from last year. |

14th highest salary in the league...haven't tracked it for too long, but I would imagine that it has been a while since we weren't in the top 10 |

He was such a valuable player for that 4th line he still is unemployed. Poor dude but man he wasn't good. Looking forward to this 4th line scoring some back breaking goals to nail games down.

Imagine next season when Umberger is off along with Filp and Read! We may actually be able to add via FA |

Will seem a little weird if we move Flip at the TDL...at least I hope we move him for some extra picks. |
