Late to the chat today, love the Pouliot move. Good age and skill level, at 23 years old him not cracking the NHL full-time yet is not a big deal IMO. JB seems to do his homework on these deals, Pedan wasn't worth much and a 4th thrown in is not bad price

Lots of people here have loved Pedan for years, I'm sure Pittsburgh wanted a waiver exempt guy who could maybe play in the 7 spot in a pinch

I don't think we would be so sensitive about the later rounds picks if Benning hadn't found value in them prior. We could talk all day about what if's, but he has shown what he has been capable of with the Forsling, Gaudette, Palmu picks. Benning definitely knows how to draft.
