"You do this often?" He asked. His pale blue eyes begging the question.

I smile, nervously. His shirt was strewn on the chair and his rippling abs absorbed the faint ethereal light.

"All the time Joffrey...may I call you Joffrey? Sorry." I mumble the last bit nervously. It's not every day that I get to meet a famous athlete and prime specimen.

"Sure, no problem Doc. So, what do I need to do to pass this physical?" He asked.

I always hold the door for people coming in behind me, I have had a number of people simply walk on by and not say thank you which is so f'n rude but I had one lady flat out stop walking and said I don't need anyone to hold the door for me! I was dumbfounded, had no idea how to respond. lol

think lupul could have failed this physical on purpose out of respect for not ruining all his former teammates last chance to win a cup with the leafs before they probably don't get resigned (bozak, JVR, Komarov)? If he's going to try to play next year, this doesn't change anything?

Walking back to the office. Obese woman (with obese man) in front of me throws her tissue at the garbage can. Misses. Falls onto the ground.

Walks another 20 meters to stoplight (NW corner). Waits. I confront her.

"Excuse me, you missed the garbage can. Would you mind disposing of your garbage properly?"

Woman rolls her eyes. Turns back to honour my request.

I cross the street (NW to NE), look back. Nope. She and her chubby hubby have crossed street, going south along west side of street.

I run back, check: she has left her kleenex on the ground. I grab it, run after them.

"Excuse me, you left this on the ground. I'm sure you didn't mean to litter, so I'm just going to give this back to you so that you can dispose of it properly."

"Dooo yoo reallah hooov nooothin' beh-ah toooo dooooo?"

Oh frank, they are tourists. From Scotland. Frank it, I'm already all in.

"Well, when it comes to keeping my city clean from litter, no I really do not have anything better to do. How would you feel if I was a guest in your city and threw my trash on the ground?" Hand her Kleenex back to her. She takes it.

They said a few choice words to me, but to be honest I couldn't understand a word that they said, so I assumed they told me how much they loved to frank sheep and how they had never eaten a vegetable in their lives (and it showed).

The incident ended with me walking down the east side of the street, staring at them, and them walking down the west side of the street, looking menacingly at me. They then turned right, after which I'm sure they threw the Kleenex on the ground.

I apologize for nothing.

P.S. My maternal family tree is from Scotland, so I have immunity to make these remarks.

They have a really nice roster. But there is no system whatsoever and they don't have great goaltending. It will be another year of 6-5 scores for them many nights I think.

he can have all the pouliets, grandlunds, gagners and braetschis. those guys will ensure you never finish above bottom 10.

But I am very happy I have company in this world when it comes to shaming people like this. I do a lot of travelling for vacations which often include hiking and visiting natural wonders. SO MANY wienerheadS. My girlfriend hates it but I straight rip into people much in the way you did... be alarmingly polite and smug to make them not litter/cross the barrier/carve their name in that/etc/etc/etc/etc.

Bonus: I love when I hold the door for people and they don't say "thank you" because I'll turn to them and in a very loud voice announce "YOU ARE WELCOME".
