Actually kind of glad Lupul failed his second physical. It would have been nice (as a Sabres fan) to have him on your books, but the social media outburst looked as made up as can be and it's worse to see a player try to railroad a whole franchise.

Glad that he didn't get to pull that nonsense.

See yall in March I guess? Who makes these schedules up?

I'm shocked and stunned that the Leafs continue to get away with obvious cap circumvention, the favouritism shown the Leafs is troubling.

If Owners, GMs, NHL and NHLPA dont care (and I see why, it benefits both)..then why should I care?

The boys are working on ways around the rules, before they finish writing the rules for the next 10 years.. Just sayin

MY post was sarcasm but if they really wanted to quash this, they could have written a clause in the CBA.

Teams are doing what they can get away with, within the rules.

He sat down and smiled. A shy kind of smile.

"You do this often?" He asked. His pale blue eyes begging the question.

I smile, nervously. His shirt was strewn on the chair and his rippling abs absorbed the faint ethereal light.

"All the time Joffrey...may I call you Joffrey? Sorry." I mumble the last bit nervously. It's not every day that I get to meet a famous athlete and prime specimen.

"Sure, no problem Doc. So, what do I need to do to pass this physical?" He asked.

I showed him and he began his set of routine exercises. Every toned inch of him glistening. After he was done and I was done...observing...he asked "So Doc! Did I pass?"

I bite my lip, this perfect specimen of a man has shown all he can, but alas, I have another man in my life. An older man, a man of dispassion and control. "No Joffrey, I'm afraid you didn't, you'll have to be placed on IR."

His eyes well up with hurt, he knows, secretly, that he is the best and most capable athlete in the world. He is Crosby, he is Malkin, he is McDavid. He turns away, hard muscles daring the world to say "no."

"I suppose it was not meant to be." He mourns.

"No...no it wasn't." I lament with a catch in my voice.

I'm not too shocked about the Lupul thing. I'm far more surprised by Hossa somehow being legitimately diagnosed with a diaper rash right when his actual salary dips to $1m per year.

Is anyone honestly fooled into thinking Hossa is genuinely unable to play? What a crock of poop.
